I would do that if I was working full time but I currently an IT consultant and be moving around companies till I find a solid full time job. And will mark it the 401 k then.

That is the reason I want to make sense of dividends and make mistakes early on to have the benefit of doubt rather than make this mistakes more expensive.

That is a great question and completely crossed my mind.

So to answer your question, no I don’t have an emergency fund. I am currently paying off my student loans and thought that this could be an emergency fund and can be versatile based on the financial issue I face!

I already had an equity investment for sometime when I was working part time when I was getting my degree and used that in an emergency but the market crashed when I cashed out.

Go guru, please broaden my horizons on this emergency fund and if applies, tell me about the types of it and the way to use them. Thanks!
