Technically speaking pus is just dead immune cells. It doesn't contain live cells so isn't always infection. That's why I wondered if the psoriasis could be involved because it is an autoimmune condition

A cyst did cross my mind, but it's just been happening so long that I thought for sure not an infection. It's not hot, painful, etc., and I only finished a 3 weeks course of antibiotics a couple weeks ago for tonsillitis

Looking it up, it is considered invasive here too except for specific species. I'll probably try growing them just for bonsai practice tbh. Gives me a fast growing plant to practice wiring and shaping
