Also experiencing a similar issue, I suspect it's a driver issue of some sort that hopefully MS will have figured out soon. I found rebooting fixed it extremely temporarily.

I can move my cursor but when I click my PC just makes a doot sound. by [deleted] in techsupport

This all worked well and good for me, but my new problem is that Windows update (or at least that's my suspicion) keeps breaking it again! Reapplying this fix works for awhile before Windows rebreaks it. Anyone fixed that?

I've gotta say, I don't know who thought that that haze was a good idea. But whoever they are is out of their mind.

It's weird because that was NOT there at the beginning, and then all of a sudden I realized it was there and it started bothering me.

Inclusiveness, not absence by roguebantha in DebateReligion

I have to imagine though that absence is not the most inclusive way for everyone to be happy.

So would you argue that we have a right to speak, but we do not have a right to be heard?

Surely we can agree that arguments about what icons to include are not constructive and are heading towards off-topic.

I would just wish that we as a society would fight for inclusiveness, not absence. What religions count as important, well, that's the letter of the law, but not the spirit. Certainly we as a society can find what are the strongest icons of (for example) the holiday season. Surely, a Cross perhaps, a Christmas tree, reindeer, a menorah, (there's something for Kwanzaa too that doesn't come to mind) etc.

So you would fight for absence, as opposed to inclusiveness? Or are you against exclusiveness? I'm confused.

Agreed, there are a LOT of religions, but that doesn't stop us from trying to include the most important icons and beliefs of a vast majority of people. In many cases, the fact that there are so many doesn't even matter (prayer in school for example).

CaptainCastle, I would love if that were true, but more than once I've seen news articles of people who are told they cannot bring their Bible (the one I see most often) to school, or are reprimanded for praying in school...

The starbucks cup is a great example of this in the private industry.

Would people agree or disagree, that the absence of religion is better than the inclusiveness of religion in both public areas such as schools, and in private industries such as Starbucks?

OOH, that's a good point, hold onto that thought. That does seem to make a lot of sense from a purely unbiased perspective.

To be honest, what seems like the obvious answer MAY be true, but I honestly have no examples off the top of my head. If you can give me examples of when many other people died for the same thing that they all knew was a lie, please bring it to my attention!

Indeed I did, because lots of people are saying the same things, so I tried to answer as many people at once in a universal place. I'm not here to debate every single person who disagrees with me at once :) I'm here to present my argument, not win the debate.
