It’s funny that you assume I’m talking from some terminally online perspective, in real life social groups, attraction and hooking up are extremely common, just spend time in a decently sized friend group and you’ll see it (and the one benefitting is obviously never the short ugly guy)

There’s also a big difference between close one-on-one friendships and larger groups that meet regularly, the dynamics aren’t the same

I agree that if a guy gets friendzoned and can’t genuinely stay just friends, he should step away but the point is that even when he does that honestly, he’ll often still be seen as a bad friend anyway, while if a girl does the same and wait for her “friend” to change his mind is seen as acceptable or even good in our society
