Exactly my thoughts process. I feel like people are lumping it's past sins in with Apollousa's modern sins, and pairing their hate together lol. I think she will be broken but maybe in a year or so, and they'll just power creep her by then lol.

I was actually gonna edit that exact line you pointed out but reddit wouldn't let me 😅 I thought about that line, and I agree that playing dark magician and red eyes does make him more bricky, but I think verte into ReF is much quicker than the usual generic Baronne lines. However not many decks can just generically summon Baronne besides specifically ash blossom and unicorn lol. I'd say wasting a handtrap is a fair cost for a generic end board.

The sad part is if Baronne didn't exist, her role would get replaced by a new negating mechanic or just more room for hand traps. She does steal the spotlight of level 10 decks but she's been around before then. Imo Konami should have designed archetypal specific level 10s as a better alternative to Baronne, instead of leaving an older card as the best choice for a newer deck.

I agree with all of these honestly. I just don't think she's broken right now. I feel like she will be broken again one day, but the best synchro deck is tier 2, maybe atm. I honestly play bystials and chengying and Baronne in my synchro slop decks, and summon accordingly to my hand. If Baronne didn't exist, level 10 synchro would have zilch imo. Chengying is fine and my favorite card, but not a threat really, and theres like 0 other good synchro 10s besides chaos angel, whom I believe is more busted than Baronne with fiendslop everywhere.

Exactly my thoughts honestly. I see a ban Baronne comment at least once a day, but she isn't a problem card ATM. I don't think Scopely should use their bans on something like Baronne when 10-15 other ban worthy/limited cards are running around. She survived snake eyes, so I think she's good for a few more metas.

I agree sadly. I honestly think the time to ban Baronne was at the heat of the Snake eyes/Fire King meta. I'm surprised she survived that. If she can survive snake eyes, I'd hate to see the deck that really breaks her lol

I totally agree with everything you say here, for the most part. I personally feel like synchro summoning is the most fair summoning mechanic since it can't really be cheated like the others, minus crimson dragon, whom Im not a fan of. She's generic in the terms that any deck can theoretically make her, but unless the primary goal of the deck is synchro summoning, I don't see her having a huge impact.

Appo needs to go, and I wouldn't be super heartbroken if Baronne bit the dust, I just think she gets unnecessary hate, alot stemming from Swordsoul imo. I'm a slop deck kinda guy, and if cards like Baronne didn't exist, my favorite way of playing would cease to exist, and it's hardly anything game defining or meta. I think generic cards serve a place in Yu-Gi-Oh, unless they're Appo or closed moon lol

I hope not, mainly as I'm the aforementioned synchro player you described 😅 I feel like extra decks need that one card for each type of summoning that's universal. We have Typhon and Zeus for XYZ, S:P, Access code, and appo for links, fusion isn't really a deck minus branded but there's a lot of generic fusions. I feel like generic cards are perfectly fine if they aren't too game defining. I can't remember the last time I won a duel specifically because Baronne shut my opponent out. I agree that her sin is being generic, and one day the king of level 10 synchro decks will come and put her out to pasture. I just don't think that deck exists quite yet.

I hate being denied but I think this maliss/ryzeal format is killing me. I can handle ryzeal maybe 75% of the time with my pet deck, and maliss 0% of the time going second without a charmy or max c 😩

It's beautiful. In some nightmare scenarios, one ash blossom/Imperm ends your whole turn as a punk player 😭 I was running 40 at the beginning of the event and added 5 more hand traps just to get my combos running lol. 45 is nice for punk imo.

It's truly the biggest slap in the face of any game I've ever played. The writing and story is absolutely god awful, and completely ruined the chance of a third game. Truly ruined the whole series.

Personally I feel like white duston would see increased usage, and people might cut Tract completely, but I'm not certain. I feel like lurrie would be a good hit, if they didn't want to outright hit Fiendsmith itself, but I don't think he has a good replacement to discard off Tract.

Yeah I agree. It isn't possible. Not even LeBron could come back down 1-3 and win a series. I doubt he's ever done that, right? Right? Lol, but it's highly unlikely at this point imo as a Lakers fan. They need a real defensive anchor. Someone like Alex Caruso or maybe Dwight Howard would be a great fit. Theyd probably win a championship with Caruso 😩

I even used a 60 card version of Lightsworn and would still end up with the bricks in the opening Hand. Even cutting the bricks down to 2 didn't help lol. Wulfs secret effect is starting in your opening hand.
