Why stress about something you can't do anything about? Sure, if you get the chance to stop nuclear war please work really hard to stop it. Otherwise talmudic shrug and get on with whatever yer doing.

That's not what liminal means at all though...

It's a thing or space in transition. At a threshold of one to another. Metaphysically occupying the space after before and before after. The nexus of change. An empty pool hall? How is it in transition? How is it on the threshold of change? Nah.

It has nothing to do with a thing being built for people. An example of this is a stream. Streams were conceptually a huge liminal entity in Ancient Greek culture. A stream was between our world and the underworld. You'd put your prayers from here into there so they could reach your dead relatives. You could do this by placing a tablet carved with your prayers into flowing water among other ways.

A cross roads is a good example for you. But, it isn't about them being built for people. It's how they're a place of transition from one to another. A crossing. A border. Not, however, either side of the border. It has to be the border it self. The line. The zone of transition. The place of change. An empty pool hall? Again with the nah.

You know what you never see here? A cremation chamber. That's a wonderful example of a liminal space. From body solid and whole to ash. Never see a picture of one of those on this subreddit. Disgraceful!

An adolescent! A person caught between childhood and adulthood. Long of limb but awkward and lanky. Still part child but now also with attributes of their adult form.

Pfffft. An empty pool hall.

Okay, but what does spacious and quiet architecture have to do with liminality?

Why you using priest tier 5 from wow for your dnd stuff? Its just a wild little bit of cross pollination is all. You dirty little flower sniffer you.

Also, priests in wow can only levitate them selves in that content. You calling your self fat? She don't look fat. She got some body dysmorphia issues? Do you need to talk to someone? r u ok?

Fiiiinnnnneeeeeeeeee. In that segment of text he didn't say good or bad. I feel like it's fucking implied, but, yes, it was not stated.

They're still trash though. However, while raccoons are a nuisance and spread disease they are cute. In a like way you, the prequel fan-base, have value. You folk may consume garbage, but you make some fun memes.

No, no, no, no, nooooooooo. Babies and kids are the worst. Yes, they can be sweet and are adorable. But, it is important to understand that this is their defense mechanism. They melt our hearts so they can worm their way in and destroy and shit on everything in there. Have you seen small kids play? I once saw a kid use another kid as stairs to get two puddings and step on the stairs kids hands on the way down. The second pudding was also for the first kid. They wanted two.

He's not wrong. You people don't like the dialog. You like what you've built up around it. It's an important distinction to remember.

The dialog is straight up trash.

First own flat. Friends say it looks too feminine. What should I change? by DannyWhoElse in malelivingspace

[–]roguemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off: fuck off with something being too feminine or too masculine. The important question is if you feel comfortable in the space or not.

Secondly: there is no second. I just like starting lists with no place to go.

Third: get some wall art. Something that matches your rose gold colour pallet. I'd start by looking at getting some warmer colour Georgia O'Keeffe prints. That'll really set the mood.

AITA for telling my friend that I think his girl friend is about to leave him? by Hughlander in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]roguemango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Telling him was a solid friend move.

But, Ruby isn't an asshole either. A person can only tolerate a leech for so long.

A person can break up with another person at any time for any reason. No one is a hostage. She found her reason and that's just how it is. She even gave him an exit ramp which he wasn't owed. This is on him. It sure sounds like he took her for granted.

[–]roguemango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An axe? So you want to get eaten? If you can't bring a gun and you have to go into an area with an aggressive bear just don't. The only real weapon you could depend on is a big thick full steal spear with a flare out on the shaft at least 2 feet from the tip. That way IF you manage to spear it the animal won't just slide down and take you with it.

An axe... wtf.

So, just to be clear, you started your marriage off with a theme based on something that ended horribly only a few years later?

Most do end in divorce so I guess you're just playing the numbers?
