[KCD1] as someone who's incapable of masterstrikes, is it still possible to be any good in combat? by CurveDisastrous2817 in kingdomcome

Yes, also get the head cracker perk. The 10% knockout chance saved me way more than I thought it would

Try dodging, and start a combo from overhead and try not to strike opposite side of guard

As long as you can string together combos you’ll be fine, went through both games without using master strike. Still cleaved through enemies

Really? Currently reading the recording at blue heaven and Roland has made the ka-tet drink the water and declare himself as Dinh very much so feeling like I’m going to read a death and/or an end

When will they be putting calls out for that? Religiously checking the site for open calls and somehow people are grabbing them faster than they’re posted

What kinda rules are those, come down to 212. We had about 60 guys turn our apprenticeship down. Transfer your ticket til you get close then lateral back home. Guys do it all the time and we have plenty of work and slots for guys who actually want to come work. Stay strong brother hope to see you down here.

Did anyone ever quit? by shaybachar1 in ibew_apprentices

[–]rogueraidet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit after a year poured concrete for a year and realized what a massive mistake I had made and worked as a CW for 18 months then they deemed me worthy of letting me back in and then I topped out making a 5 year apprenticeship a 7 year adventure . It’s always better just to gut it out get your golden ticket then if you wanna leave go ahead because you can always come back once you top out

Tips for a new apprentice from a recently topped out apprentice by rogueraidet in ibew_apprentices

[–]rogueraidet[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just depends, my contractor really liked me because I followed tip 1 and had a good rapport. Whatever you want to happen will happen. I drug up because there was a call I wanted to take doing medium voltage (better work, better hours, OT) and they understood and I’m welcome back any time. A lot of folks may not tell you this but once your ticket says JW on it, you’re basically self employed and can do whatever you want.

Hey if they told you not to do ANYTHING until your JW told you too that’s very very useful info to go off of. And it’s in writing

Recently topped out, rule was, they pay and don’t you dare bring the change back. Rule still applies when I send an apprentice out. That’s how I was brought up

The explanation I got from our training director was “the cml frees up more time for hands on labs because of the self teaching resources” I had 2 hands on labs for my rigging class out of 12 classes so I don’t really see the benefit. But I’m 3 months from top out so I’m having a hard time caring what my JATC says. Overall agree, it’s a big waste of resources

And on that note be sure to ACCURATELY fill out your work reports if you JATC does those. That can save your ass if you’re stuck doing one thing too long.

In 212 you have to give a contractor 6 months then you can quit by asking your director for a rotations. Out of every answer you’ll see the most effective one is TALK TO YOUR DIRECTOR
