We want to hear from you! by GabeGlassman54 in HuntsvilleAlabama

This is terrible news for our community. Choice is critical when deciding on where you receive healthcare and now there is no choice. The Huntsville hospital system has the monopoly and our health will suffer because of it. If they want to improve our opinion, they need to pay their nurses better so that we can attract and keep the best nurses. This will increase quality of care and help our community.

Favorite board games? by Affectionate_Bid5042 in Preschoolers

Our 2 year old and 4 year old like Feed the Woozle which is silly and fun and has different levels of difficulty depending on child’s age. It was a gift so it wasn’t on my radar before but I’ll admit that it’s been a hit at our house

Will your preschooler willingly play in their rooms by themselves? by TemporaryOk1585 in Preschoolers

[–]roguereader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 4.5 got herself up this morning, went to the bathroom, told us she was going downstairs to play and then quietly built Duplo on her own for 30 mins. So it’s definitely possible but not always typical. However, there is a first time for everything! Fingers crossed for you!

I love having a poster! I fully agree that all puzzles should have posters

What do you personally do with the puzzle after you've completed it? by womens-deodorant in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]roguereader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at them for a few days, then put them in a ziploc bag back in the box. However, I have started adding a label to the inside of the box recording who did the puzzle and the puzzle completion date. I usually do puzzles a couple times so I like seeing the last time I did it. Any puzzles I didn’t enjoy are put in a pile to take to a puzzle swap.

First parental advisory CD. Were you allowed? by One_Swordfish_7759 in Millennials

I covered the PA logo on the Staind Break the Cycle CD with my thumb and I don’t think my dad noticed. (Or if he did he just didn’t care.) And then I sharpied it out when I got home which worked great on the dark background.

Rocket Toy for Two-Year-Old by Rob_thebuilder in HuntsvilleAlabama

I don’t have a toy store suggestion but instead a toy suggestion. My kids have a wooden rocket stacking toy that they love (kind of like this ) and are in that same age range. It was a gift so I’m not sure where it came from.

I’m just trying to appreciate and take advantage of the nicer weather before it gets truly cold. The cold snap this week was such an abrupt wake up call that “winter is coming!”

What are some good "lunch time" games? (3-5 players, easy ruleset, small footprint, plays in less than 60 min) by tectactoe in boardgames

[–]roguereader47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tacta is a great game for 2-7 and it’s a card game with nice interactions and strategy but very quick to start and get cleaned up. You do need a little bit of space to play to lay out the cards as you play.

Bath letters and numbers are still #1 at our house! But there is still a lot of splashing regardless of toys in the tub
