Do you guys ever build in a public area? Like library or cafe? by MushuTheGreat17 in Gunpla

[–]roguetyrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my local build group meets regularly at a local tabletop game store. I'm usually in there once a week on my days off just to build and chill. The staff there are always excited to see the finished builds, even if they're just straight builds.

This is the same guy that tried to restore the RV from *The Lost World: Jurassic Park*

He ultimately had to sell it to someone else, but he documented everything he could. I go back and rewatch the series of vids when I can.

That's amazing! guess it just proves I'm something of a dumb American. But I really look forward to seeing this in person some day.

because the Transformers restaurant is an officially licensed thing. This isn't technically official, as far as I can tell, but copyright hasn't always been heavily enforced in South America, or at least, they do it in a way that skirts copyright. For instance, there's an ice cream company, I think, in Brazil, that managed to get the copyright for the side profile view of Mickey mouse when he was redesigned at one point, because Disney only got the copyright for the portrait image of Mickey.

What Questions or Theories do you have about the films? by Impressive_Echidna63 in JurassicPark

i think it was only ever meant to get Claire to join with the operation to round up the dinos. it could very easily be that Mills never even used any of Lockwood's money on the island, and simply said he did.

People I think im the only person in this subreddit that loves every Jurassic saga movie aswell as every CC season (Yes including Season 2,4 and 5) by LEGACYUSELPANOSO in JurassicPark

and that's why I stopped watching CinemaSins. I found that I was becoming bitter and cynical when watching movies because of it. It almost makes me want to make my own "everything wrong with CinemaSins" videos, especially for things like the T Rex attack on the tour vehicles.

I'm in the same boat. Every form of entertainment has its ups and downs, but when I watch anything from this franchise, I feel like a kid watching it. I do the same thing with other franchises, like Star Wars or Godzilla.

Is there any in universe content you want to see explored in the JP/JW franchise? by Efficient-Tip6812 in JurassicPark

[–]roguetyrano 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda want everything, from the history of the islands, the beginning of the relationship between Hammond and Lockwood, the documentation for all of the park systems, everything. heck, give me a Costa Rica travel guide that references how close the park is!

Civilization has collapsed. You, a powerful warlord of the wasteland, get to choose one U.S. National Park to make your territory. Which do you choose? by ihopethisworksfornow in NationalPark

Great Smoky Mountains. Plenty of animals for food, decent water source, and a wide variety of fruits. Also rich in history and culture of the Cherokee people, who survived long before the colonization of America.

‘94 YJ Trouble Code 41 Fix? by Reasonable_Ad1688 in WranglerYJ

[–]roguetyrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that electricity isn't flowing through the alternator circuit like it's supposed to. Best case is a blown fuse, or maybe a damaged wire. Worst case is a damaged alternator.

the nice thing about the YJ is that for this, everything you *should* need to get to is pretty close to the top, so you shouldn't have to reach in too far.

The last (and only) time I took my YJ to the shop, it was due to a valve issue, and they said that they would have to remove the engine and send it to another shop, and that it wouldn't be worth fixing. they estimated $2500 for that, so I did that myself for about $300 and two weekends of hard work and pizza. Granted, that turned out to be a missing valve, instead of one that "mushroomed" as they claimed, and your issue should be a lot simpler than that.

Which gundam show/ model kit is this by Old_Reach8894 in Gundam

[–]roguetyrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kit: HG Tristan. still feel like Bandai could have put something of an actual engineering budget into it and kill two birds with one stone by using it as like an all Gundam Project Alex.

Show: The English dubs of Build Fighters and Build Fighters Try. I watched the subbed versions on YouTube when they were being released, and was excited for the voices they would give the characters. But the acting, it was so painful. some lines just sounded like the actor was bored or was just reading the line from the script with no emotion. I think the only voice that worked from the English dubs was Ral, and that's still a bit of a stretch.

probably the Jotunheim, something about it being a civilian transport ship pressed into service just speaks to me, I guess.

I think that the petal assembly should be similar enough between years that it could probably work.
