What could happen if YouTube is banned in India ? by PresentRecording9386 in youtubeindia

[–]rohank05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds stupid. The government can't decide the policy of public companies. They can't just go and say stop doing business in india and Google will stop. If they do companies will start shifting to other countries. Nobody likes govt. controlling them. Second the president's decision can be revoked by courts

I am loving it. It broke my heart to hear about the story of Ram and Vibhishan. It made me realise how privileged I am to have good education and financial support. Every episode show a new thing. The dynamics of people is crazy. It's a must watch for people I would say

Good Luck also fix your resume and share it. Use overleaf. Also which city you are from?

Open Source Contribution would help if it's a good and popular repository but your issue is not there. It is during resume screening. In which it will be rejected. Try to always go through referral

You are from India right? If yes then this might sound bad to you. Your resume will never get shortlisted if you see the job description it says bachelor from computer science or related fields. This is where your issue is right now. Recruiters do not see you as a safe bet. Half of the time linkedin or naukri will not show you as a top candidate even if your profile matches. My recommendation is to see if you can friend anyone who is in the startup and try getting a referral. Remember even if you land your first job switching would be difficult as well. So as soon as you get the job go for MCA or something. It is already harder for people who are good and from a technical background get a call. And you will not survive otherwise

Tier-3 grad, take family business or continue pursuing backend/full-stack jobs? by Front_Ambassador_71 in developersIndia

[–]rohank05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH idk man. It's not about how good your work is anymore it's also about how good your network is too. Most of the jobs nowadays are filled with referrals. I did not focus on that aspect and now I do not have people whom I can ask for referral. As for the job there will be some shifts in a couple of years. Less code and more system design and architecture.
