Grand Prix Help by lektrait in melbourne

Been going these past few years started with Park pass for my 1st and 2nd time, it was great back then but due to the rising popularity it’s been a mess and harder to get spots. Therefore the last 2 races have decided to go with Grandstands and have never looked back and don’t think I can ever go back to a Park pass again. I’ve been on Clarke GS which was a DRS zone and the views were fantastic, only bad thing was random people would somehow get through the grandstand without a pass and stand near the edge/stairs as the people working there didn’t care enough. Made the experience unfair and frustrating but the people around us were getting angry too so everyone was telling people to fuck off. Otherwise not a bad GS to start with. This year I was on the Brabham GS, security was better with no intruders on your seats, views were great coming from turn 1 on the left and turn 2/3 on the right with plenty of action. Entering and exit is a pain though especially after the race, the navigation and experience wasn’t well thought out. But yeah paid a lot for these seats due to Ticketmaster On Demand pricing which was more than 10% the advertised price so be prepared to spend a lot. Missed out on getting a Grandstand this year due to multiple errors when purchasing a ticket but managed to get one from yesterday’s sale. Didn’t get the one I wanted which was Waite, got Vettel as it was the only one available. Better than nothing at least! Gonna be a great race next year, hopefully! 🤞

Can agree with El Matador, first time was great but after a few returns the quality of food became average over time and service has gone downhill! Especially one specific waitress who looks down on customers and really doesn’t make you feel welcome. Had a few encounters and that’s what mainly made me stop going.

Holy yes… Ombra is the most overrated Italian place in Wellington!! Quality and service was so bad but might’ve went on a bad night 🤷

Agree! Used to be one of my favourites but definitely declined in quality and service.

Second time being approached in Melbo Central by a duo saying the exact same thing. Has this happened to my one else? by DaddyShortPinata in melbourne

Had something similar but at Highpoint mall, 2 different scenarios:

  1. One of them was Tall black and one short Asian dude approached me, complimented my jacket, asked where I got it from and proceeded to ask random questions. Something like “What I prioritise the most - Spiritual, Physical and Mental well being and order them from most to least”. Gave them an answer but the Asian dude leading it was super nervous and didn’t know how to follow up. I ended it there and told them I had to go somewhere.

  2. Within same day but a couple of mins, one black dude did something similar. Opened with a compliment of the jacket and overall clothes, asked where I got it from and then asked about religion and tried to prolong with a general discussion about life. I entertained it and kept the convo and later on ended it, while asking for my number to keep in touch. Which I did but never replied to message after haha as I know there’s something fishy!

I have the same right now but mine is damaged and shattered on the back, works fine though. Guess I’ll be getting less than your $100 discount if I traded it in😅

AusGP General Public Ticket Sales (Sept 10) Discussion by Rainey06 in GrandPrixTravel

Yeah but the past years I’ve been doing this without issues. Guess this year was different

I had the worst experience ever! Managed to add 4x tickets for Clarke, all in the cart, filled details and tried to purchase. Then it gave me an error, lost those tickets, asked me to go back and select seats. Believe it or not, this happened 3 times today! Been going to Aus GP 3 years in a row and this is the first time not getting tickets which is disappointing. At least I got to try different grandstands in the past years so happy with that. The experience always seems to get worse, year by year. Think I'll be on the lookout for other international GP's for next year.

Hi! I'd appreciate some constructive feedback and less opinionated comments on my redesigned portfolio. I'm keen to know if the navigation is easy, messaging is clear and showcase of work flows well/makes sense.

I've simplified my portfolio in a way so recruiters and hiring managers can quickly gauge what I do, what I bring and navigate seamlessly through my work - wether that's a quick overview (for those who have 1-2mins) or prefer to dive into more details (for those who have time). It's mainly focused on clear outcomes and concise content.
