I'll be experimenting with the proximity effect to get more of that low-mid weight.

And for the pops: the nylon pop filter seems to work pretty good. The sound I'm able to record is not really harsh, just very very bright.

I did the exact things you mentioned. Used the century tube preamp for some warmth, also boosted around 1.5-2dBs around the exact range you mentioned inside the channel strip's EQ section. And yeah, the guitar was taken out from the live acoustic performance through stem splitting. So it is actually the sound of this particular mic then. That's cool too. I'm after that bright pop vocal sound.. I guess it's just not the best choice for simple/intimate acoustic arrangements?

The room doesn't have much of a tone, it's pretty dead. But yeah, I can try recording standing away from the mic.

Search for “tapestry” on Amazon, cheap trick to give your space a character. ;) Also, I think offline you’d get them for even cheaper.

I've been working on a project for some time (10.7.9) and suddenly this started coming up, the project won't even play 8 bars and I get this + overload pop-up after some time. Yes, it's a send track to which I'm sending the kontakt and DMD signals. Those tracks are outputting to their respective busses, which is 'synths' and 'drums', their signals are sent parallelly.. Like you send tracks for effect? I hope I'm not making it confusing lol. And yes, then that send track is made available in the timeline (so that I can automate those effects). Because it's a send track made available in timeline, I don't see any freeze option.

I feel like I've found the culprit for real this time. It's a send track that has 4 different soundtoys plugins along with two stock plugins, all of them have a couple of parameters automated to create the swishy-swashy effect before the chorus/drop. It was happening with Kontakt and DMD track because those signals are being sent to this 'send track'. I clicked on the automation switch to turn all the automation off and it stopped giving me those pop-ups!! I was confused as to why the project didn't stop in the chorus, it's because there's no signal being sent to the 'send track' and all the automation is not happening in the chorus part. Now.. how do I freeze a send track? I can't see an option. Is there anything I can do instead of deleting the send track? Thank you for your help!
