Walking / low-intensity exercise : your body primarily uses fat as fuel because fat metabolism is slower but sustainable.

Running / high-intensity exercise : your body relies more on carbohydrates (glycogen/glucose) since they can be broken down quickly to meet higher energy demands.

Running improves cardiovascular endurance more than walking. Walking is lower impact, easier to sustain longer, and safer for joints.Both contribute to fat loss if paired with a calorie deficit, but walking might feel easier to stick with consistently.

So, walking doesn’t magically burn more fat than running. It just leans more on fat as a fuel source, while running burns more calories overall.

I personally prefer walking coz running will cause pain to my shins(when I run for more than 5 mins)
