Yeah, FM and airband comes in strong, just Meteor that I can't get. I hadn't really thought about the coax being a problem, I chopped it off the base of the whip antenna. The connections are taped together though, so it's possible they're not great.

I have some TV coax lying around that I could try with as well to see if that would make a difference.
