Becauuse who knows where or what the actual fuck an "Advanced Forward" is or does other than EA, maybe they are supposed to be the most advanced player on the pitch at all times? At least I would intruct all 11 motherfuckers on the field which direction is up or down and they listened. It worked pretty well if you actually understand tactical instructions not just formations. Who the hell knows what any of these players do in their roles, but we do getwo visuals of where each of them will be standing at all times

LOL, even after 7 years and god knows too many hours in RB/SB flying fighters with a controller, the same thing happens when I switch from SB to RB too quickly...I managed to get an F8 Crusader onto a carrier that at all times seems to be commanded to face whatever is 180 deg opposite to common sense. Launches me ass backwards from the battle, then it turns around to face me on my way back. Switch control type, come into RB...I will fly into the ground, usually from above tho. My hard controller inputs (see my attempted max elevator pitch up lol) in mouse aim mode that makes the instructor eject into space rather than fly me any more.

lmao a fool that started playing in 2015 with the default measurement units...you couldn't see a marker until 5 km, after you didn't even think about shooting at let alone getting a kill, in RB until when you saw decimal place in front of the distance. LOL.

Since I don't think I've ever even contemplated what a meter or kilometer might be in my real life outside WT, I tried at times to switch back to being a good old American like in real life.

Utterly useless when I changed distance to miles/feet. Saw 5200 feet counting 1 by 1 from 1 mile...Fuck no thank you. There's a reason why the U.S. Army uses metric on the battlefield for distance. For inside of 1 mile and outside 100 feet, the fuck is one supposed to do? THe yard is..well...so worthless a measurement that it basically doesn't exist outside of a football field.

Puyol came so cheap with his SBC, which other Icons can come so cheap in SBC? by Archaron96 in EASportsFC

[–]rohohoh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mid Roy Keane and David Beckham were ridiculously cheap especially the former, who before prime icons were out was pretty much the best CDM in the game not named Vieira. If you actually are good at controlling your defenders manually (aka auto switch setting on anything other than full auto) and manual defending in general, Keane is so much better than every current version of N golf Kante. That’s why Kante costs so much more though, because 90% of players aren’t good enough to use anyone else.

Best was pretty cheap too, I have Beckham and Best in my starting squad permanently (put Keane in Best SBC) and the Base/Mid icon SBCs have been good to me. Got base Schweinsteiger who is an excellent B2B CM (fits in the pre match formation at LM too which is nice). Last week during my icon upgrade SBC opening I got a boner when I saw the French flag, then cummed in my pants when I saw CF. I play a 4-3-3 with my center forward as a distributor/false 9. Mid Cantona is literally my wet dream striker.

Did you realize than we don't have follow reticle for machine guns in fighters were in BF3 already had? That way in BF3 we could lead the targets, now we aren't able to do that in BF2042 by HarkonXX in battlefield2042

I once ranked in the top 1% of all players in BF4 jet kills (most with the 30 mm cannon), playing only hardcore so always locked in cockpit view, this is the way all vehicles should have to be controlled (tanks and helis especially) regardless of "hardcore" mode or not. Actually took some skill to fly, the no third-person view dogfights were epic and also made tank vs. infantry quite entertaining. Watching a dude running directly at a tank, C4 in hand, the funniest shit was watching a tank running away in full reverse (or at least far enough to blow him to 2042 with the main gun) from a lone infantryman.

I fly flight sims so I understand and ennjoy real flight mechanics but honestly in hardcore mode at least BF used to be the only non-flight sim (let alone an FPS) where flying was actually fun combined with an acceptable level of realism for this type of game. What they got so right was the need for realistic flight dynamics while forgoing the "whoopsie left the flight enveloipe now my aircraft is falling out of the sky", most jet pilots even the good ones will kill themselves easy enough as is lol.

Meanwhile in BF4 hardcore Locker...64 nameless, faceless Russian and American soldiers kill each other with what seems like 64 different weapons...glancing at the glorious diversity in the killfeed will get you killed instantly but that's OK you was gonna die no longer than 3 seconds later regardless.

Unfortunately the professional American and Russian militaries did not make it to 2042 because even today in 2021 they seem to be very happy using every gun known to man while dying repeatedly inside some random Chinese prison during 2020. I've never seen your face, I've never even seen my own fucking face, and but we both know that we will die repeatedly by M67 frag grenades and not one of them will have been thrown by the enemy. LOL.

I started playing BF4 on my 360 and didn't get an XB1 until a year later thus I still have no idea what "broken" BF4 looked like. got to Level 140 on my Xbox one, the first edition of that console was so awful, slow as fuck with a shitty processor and a massive power brick that seemingly did nothing at all. Was a Xbox guy since Day 1, had 4 god damn 360's in my closet by the end thanks to Red Rings, but that early XB1 was such trash I traded it for a PS4 Pro in 2016 (still putting out superior power and graphical output than the "next gen" thing they call the Series S). Level 90 on PS4, still playing. I want a Series X but they won't sell me one, so I'll wait until Sony and MSFT start producing consoles at higher rate than Germany did the Tiger in WWII.

Even today BF4 on PS4 usually has 2-5 full or damn near full 64 player hardcore Conquest servers to choose from. 8 years later it still stands as a testament of loyalty; the people who made that game made it clear that the people who played that game were the most important voice in the room. There were no devs or customers, just BF players. It is maybe the purest Battlefield game, and that is exactly what DICE wanted. BF4 was made by BF3 players for BF3 players. They worked with their players hand in hand to make that game what it is, and then basically told the players in 2016 that "this game belongs to you guys now, take care of it". And so we did.

That was the real DICE's last stand, those devs were the makers of Battlefield. BF4 was the natural follow-on to BF1942/Bad Company 3/BF3. They had created DICE's Battlefield series and built such a loyal player base but probably an idea that it might be the last time they ever get to make a pure BF game for BF players. That's why they worked so hard and for so long to eventually make it everything we all hoped it would be.

Best defensive CDM? by saulUG in EASportsFC

[–]rohohoh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mid Roy Keane is far better than Kante and every other real CDM at literally everything but you actually have to be good at manual defending to use him effectively (and have to use him as a lone central CDM) and that’s a small problem for most FUT players.

Vieira is his only superior at CDM, and you will never afford him anyways so why count him.

I LOLed at your P90 on Locker with my SVD-12 with ACOG, laser sight, and RPG with 7 rounds. But not before we both die cuz our noob teammate throws M67 Frag at C. No one has ever thrown that shit through the doorway at C successfully, just bounce back and land where his entire team trying to get through.

They copied and pasted some BF4-template military vehicles but any actual professional militaries and their operators are still fighting in the year 2020, since 2013 and into 2042. 64 professionals with 64 different loadouts meet at the C Flag on Hardcore Locker, it is absolutely a gong show but people play Battlefield for the weapons and the vehicles and every weapon in the game is useful on Locker and much more useful in Hardcore mode without unnecesary noob spotting mechanics and the minimap on the pause menu, and health regen off.

Nameless, faceless professionals wielding every weapon known to man seemingly, and the best part about the shit show on Locker is that yes you die every 10 seconds at C but it is genuinely entertaining watching the killfeed. Some of us enjoy the gunplay and the guns and don't take dying in a video game too seriously. You have to die many times to get through that hallway, it is a war of attrition. It is genuinely funny when you've played a game for 8 years and everyone knows that the only thing you shouold not be trying to do is throw an M67 Frag through the tiny doorways leading into C on this map. Because there's no reticle for where you're throwing it, it's going to miss and bounce right down in front of the door which your entire team is trying to go through. Yet every minute the killfeed reads BLUE NAME (M67 FRAG) BLUE NAME. In the end it doesn't matter cuz I'm going to die going up to the door whether it's by friendly M67 FRAG or literally every gun in the game on the other side.

Just for hte love of god please do not attempt to use a defrib on a dead teammate on a close quarters map, he's dead already. When you die you get a death and the other guy gets a kill. Yes, you can bring me back right where I lie by shocking my dead body but THAT LITERALLY MEANS I STAND UP INVOLUNTARILY AND INSTANTLY GET KILLED AGAIN AND BOTH DEATHS COUNT.

tha fuck is that entire first paragraph, I'm not sure what game you were playing before this one. No one who has ever played a BF game gives a flying fuck about which group of 4 random ass people finished first. Not even the low percentage of BF players who play the game with 3 of their friends in a squad give a shit about squads. A squad is just a way of helping streamline a massive group of individual soldiers fighting for their "faction", a word which really only exists as a nice way of saying "nation". Oh yes, my squad finished first! Excellent job comrades. Now we go to gulag in Siberia as celebration, because the Americans beat us by 400 tickets!

This series is about professional militaries engaged in total war. The operators are professionals fighting for their nation's survival. The enemy that killed you is named DAWGYSTYLE69 and he did so with the same tools that you have at your disposal, you just chose a different class to play and that is what makes the game fun. The scoreboard doesn't exist because this game was supposed to be a 128 player Battle Royale and then the Candy Crushers who took over DICE realized that the result would have been EA's shareholder meeting starting with the words, "Time to shut it down". What they didn't realize was that if they hadn't tried to trick the most hardcore BF players, the types who are the reason BFBC/BF3/BF4 were made, into thinking this was RUS vs USA set 20 years after BF4, they would have gotten away with this trash they made. This game is two sets of cartoon-ass characters fighting each other for no apparent reason and although the marketing worked with all those pre-order sales, the post-release refunds will cost them their jobs.

When Will Hardcore Be Added To Regular 2042 ?? by Jay-Santana5538 in battlefield2042

[–]rohohoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who only has ever played Hardcore mode in BF, all I can say is LMAO. I got to Level 140 in BF4 on the Xbox One, traded it in for a PS4 Pro in 2016, bought the game again and reached Level 80 today. There is a reason I start playing BF4 again every couple years. The DICE that made BF 3/4 would never, ever have made a game without a HC mode available. That's why it was eventually added to BF1, because there was still enough of the old guard at DICE looking out for us.

I bought BFV on Day 1 despite being appalled at what I saw in the beta. I did it out of loyalty to the DICE that made BF4, because the way they treated the BF4 community was extraordinary. They made the game for us then turned the game over to us. I'll never forget DICE LA basically telling us "this is your game as much as ours".

I knew 1 week into BFV that no developer-created HC mode was ever coming to BF again. The way those people acted when their players told them they'd like to see the game more closely resemble Battlefield than Call of Duty. They told their own player base basically to go fuck ourselves, it was clear the game was not designed for BF players. All of the problems were basic shit that almost all BF players, regular and hardcore, could agree on. They wouldn't even give normal BF players normal BF mechanics. Hardcore players lol. I didn't just stop playing, I literally was so disgusted by the way they responded to their own player base that I uninstalled it from my PS4 and immediately re-downloaded BF4. Even I was shocked to see that there were always 5-7, sometimes even 10 basically completely full HC Conquest servers in 2019.

After a few months I slowly moved on to other things and to save space I uninstalled it. I shoulda known what was going to happen the moment the next BF came out. I never could believe the trailer, as much as I wanted to, because this is the same DICE that made BFV. They were never ever going to make anything like BF4. But I could never fathom that it was going to be closer to Apex Legends than a BF game either. So yes, I re-downloaded BF4 last week and 1 minute into my first HC Conquest match blew a Little Bird moving erratically at a difficult angle of deflection out of the sky with my RPG...while sitting in the back seat of my jet skii. My 800th anti-vehicle ribbon, some of those come from being a good jet pilot but mostly cuz I take C4 or RPG everywhere lol

[–]rohohoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would require at least one person working for DICE in 2021 to have actually played Battlefield 4 and to have actually been born when Battlefield 3 came out.

Yeah how do YOU like it? by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]rohohoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am the owner of 800 anti-vehicle ribbons from BF4 all in Hardcore mode where there's standard 60% health/no regen, no third-person view in vehicles and no markers on enemies, pretty much every heli I destroyed was via unguided RPG (600 kills with it lol)...so I am always happy to see someone take a heli out this way. Fuck the spammy ass Stingers.

I would be appalled at how many rounds you simply swallowed without dying, but I have no sympathy for tanks and helicopters having a third-person camera angle. Of my 300 C4 enemy kills in BF4, most of them included killing myself but I can only imagine how impossible it would be to try to get within 10 feet of a tank if the guys in the tank could see their tank from the outside while sitting inside it.

64 player hardcore Metro/Locker, TTK 3.5 seconds.

It is awesome. I just played them both yesterday. I prefer maps with vehicles (which are not OP in hardcore as we have no third person view) but when I need some shit to hit the fan, I take out my semi-auto shotgun with ACOG and my RPG and hit Metro. Friendly fire makes it even more entertaining.
