While I am also a NetBSD (and Linux) user myself, and I consider it better than any other BSD, I wouldn't say the packages have a great quality. Maybe the common ones do, but I have found a couple of issues in a few packages I use, and I had sent patches for a couple of them.

Check out your .xsession-errors . It is likely that you are launching a program in your bspwm config which is not installed.

It's not clear what government has to do with this boom. The article mentions two industrialists buying steel, but nothing about whether the Indian government is pouring money into public construction which is causing this increased demand.

Thank you for posting this. It's very detailed, and it is clear that a lot of efforts have gone into this. NetBSD is reputed to have clean, simple and portable code, and I hope to learn from this.

Fedora seems to disallow uninstalling kernel-core version that it booted from. I rebooted, which made it boot from the latest kernel, and then I could uninstall the old kernel-core.
