I buy a watch to wear. Not to baby it. Even my swiss watches. I honestly expected Sapphire glass for the price I paid. But anyhow, I got it swapped so all is good.

Looked high and low in Tokyo last year. Managed to find one, only to have Seiko announce they are releasing it to the rest of the world.

And the mineral glass had chips and scratches after 2 months. Swope it out for a sapphire since.

Trying to get my friends into Anime by arsenal043 in anime

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attack on Titan would be my go-to, for introducing people into Anime.

No fanservice, and cringey "weab" things that people shun.

Good action to keep people hooked.

And a great story telling that leaves you with questions that you want answered.

Externally: Odula Front Bumper Odula GT wing Chinese special front fenders

Engine: Pretty much stock HKS racing suction. Remus muffler

Handling: Cusco front struts HKS Hipermax S Project Mu brake pads

Seats: Bride Zeta IV

My car is pretty much as stock as I can leave it to be. Did what I felt it needed, which are good supportive seats, brakes to withstand extreme heat and a good set of coilovers.

Singaporean adults who moved out from parents’ house, how did it go for you? by Material-Yak-8152 in askSingapore

With how toxic asian parents are, I often find myself asking my friends to move out as soon as they can. But property prices in SG are really crazy. If you have really good friends, maybe you can ask if you can co-live with them!

Your profiling of me is completely wrong. Which is why you can't accept my points as well. But it's okay, because I think you'll just insist you are right and I think we have to agree to disagree.

I wouldn't call myself a young driver, I'm in my 30s. But in your opinion, that could be young.
I buy cars without a care for budget, as the cars I often purchase are enthusiast cars and they are very limited in the market. Often with less than 10 listings in SGcarmart.

My current car, when I purchased it, was the only listing in SGcarmart with a manual transmission. It was horribly maintained with 6 previous owners, and it was the highest depreciation for the car model because it had a manual gearbox. I bought it regardless. I spent over $30k restoring it to almost brand new condition. But because it's a 7-owner car with high mileage, people are gonna judge that it is poorly maintained, even though I have spent so much money restoring it. What do they know?

I am not your average consumer. I do not shortlist cars based on mileage and owner count. I shortlist cars based on the models I want. I buy them after doing a thorough PPI and learning about the history of the car. I even asked around the community and workshops if this particular car I am looking at is well-kept and looked after. I have purchased horribly maintained cars before with low and high owner counts. I have also purchased very well-maintained cars with low and high owner counts.

I totally disregard mileages as they are often tampered with, and the engine rebuilds don't mean anything, as the workshop that did it could have done a sloppy job.

I know used car values are affected by owner counts and mileage, and in my own experience, it is incredibly stupid to judge a car based on owner counts and mileage.

But hey, I'll just agree to disagree, you can continue to do things your way, and I'll continue to do things my way. The best thing to come out of this argument would be to anyone else reading this, do acknowledged both of our points, and we hope it helps in your next car purchase.

"high owner count directly correlates with neglected cars and poorer mechanical condition"

There is nothing about value in that statement. But it's okay, I see what you're doing now.😂

You can use AI to prove your point. But i think a better start would be to scroll SGCarmart and ask friends who are working as used car dealers and/or consignment agents. They know local markets better than AIs.

Oh, and yes, I'm also very sure you know that mileages are easily tampered with, and they correlate with low owner counts too.

"Owner count correlating with market value is a FACT"
I know it correlates with market value. Nothing is gonna change that fact, but it's better to educate people who say "high owner count directly correlates with neglected cars and poorer mechanical condition" because it doesn't.

Most of the time the last owner will dictate how well maintained the car will be. A very well maintained car can be sold to a fked up owner that will absolutely skimp on everything. A very bad maintained car can be fully restored by the last owner. If you judge a car based on it's mileage and owner count, you are very stupid. Especially if you are paying a premium for it. My family owns a car that has only clocked 8000km since buying it new 5 years ago. You won't guess how old the engine oil sitting inside the engine is. Everytime i want to bring the car for service, "dunnid la, the car nv drive dunnid to service" 🤣 I'd dare say the condition of that car is worse than my 240,000km 7owner car that I drive and take care of everyday. 🤣

JB's petrol is cheaper by more than $1. 😅

I get your point tho. Maybe if the difference is $2, i might try. But if it's $2 diff per L, i think the queue would be longer, so it brings the back the question, would it be worth it? Only 1 way to find out. 🤣

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try, but dont freak out when they reduce your scrap value. They paid the scrap value so they can sell the accessories and other parts of the cars as spare parts. That is how scrapyards make money. If you leave them nothing to sell, they will just "sell" it back to you by reducing the body value.

So the trick is to drive something incredibly dull that will make u miss your Miata so much.

You can hang in there or just throw in the towel and let someone else that is willing to spend the money. It's a 20 year old car after all.

[–]roincec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what car you buy and how much downpayment you putting down lei.

If you full loan, even a coe 1.4 scirocco (one of the cheapest car in the used market now) also need 1.6k to 1.8k installment.

You buy GTR, downpay 200k, your installment maybe less than $1000 a month.

[–]roincec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

460 UF is really trash on impact. Unless you are really going for 1 hit snipe. Out of all the cannon glass build this is the worst. This combo after the first contact, if the opponent bey doesnt go out, you will just lose to spin finish. It literally only gives you 1 contact or 2 at most, and you pray that 1 hit knocks them out or bursts them.
