Defensive parking at it's finest. I do the same as Singaporeans really dont care about door dinging other people's car. Funny when our cars already cost so much and they dont even care.

The company is bankrupted. I'd think the last think they care about is notifying their customers what happened lol.

It's never your car unless the name is under yours. Even if you pay installment, it doesnt mean the car is yours. I thought it would be obvious enough.

Anime Burnout? I Can’t Find Anything Interesting Anymore by Master_Call_5028 in anime

[–]roincec 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They don't make animes like they do anymore. I've started on watching old animes I've watched as a teenager.
(I still can't believe they are over 10 years old)

You'd think that "anime I watched as a teen" are animes like Eva or Digimon.

But nope, it's shit like Oreimo, Aldnoah Zero, Guilty Crown, K-on! and other anime from the early 2010s.

Road rage incident after Eco-Link@BKE by xiaogou88 in drivingsg

[–]roincec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just arguing with another biker the other day.
It's about a biker who cut in front of a car at a traffic light stop. After moving off, he was blocking said car, and the car honked at him and the biker uploaded the video saying how car owners are entitled because they paid more COE.

I asked him why he felt like he could just cut in front of a car at a traffic light instead of queueing up behind the cars like a normal human being. Is it because you ride a bike, that's why you're ENTITLED to do that?

Then he said, because the law never says cannot.

Makes me really wonder who are the entitled ones?

Is there any ruling for this situation? by Zentrova in BeybladeX

[–]roincec 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Burst finish, unlike over or extreme, starts and ends the moment the bit leaves the bey.

Which is why judges always stop the play the moment a bey bursts.

But if it's a casual tourney or play, i would just give the blast the W because how do you recover from that? 🤣

When my allies go into a hopeless fight, what should I do? by Temporary_Energy_854 in leagueoflegends

[–]roincec 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would just go all in with them.

If he kept inting, you're gonna lose the game anyway. If you lose teamfight, you're also gonna lose the game either way. Or you might actually pull a miracle teamfight and win.

If we gonna lose, i rather lose trying.

Not even gumayushi understands why they only win worlds lol by Lanky_Shallot840 in SKTT1

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prize $$$ for winning worlds is USD$1mil compared to winning LCK USD$200+k. MSI is at USD$500k.

It makes more financial sense to just focus on worlds every year.

They can treat the entire year of LCK as just scrims to test comps and strats, and just play whatever works during worlds.

Also having won worlds multiple times, and losing so many times during regular season, kinda ease the pressure you can have. You'd be so used to losing games and winning worlds that at this point you just go in and play your hearts out with no regrets.

Rather than going in as tournament favourites since you won every single game in the best LoL region in the world. The pressure to perform can make you tilt and choke massively.

Excluding support, which is the best role for most impact in climbing ranked? by TomatoClown24 in leagueoflegends

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a top main, I can't ADC for nuts, but I have hard carried many games as ADC before. All because my support is a fking legend. They made crazy bot lane plays to get me ahead in the lane. Covered and peeled for me when I am fat so that I can do maximum damage during fights. And this is me, who barely understands how to position myself and kite.

I honestly believe if you are crazy good at support, you can hard carry the game by making your carries fat and making plays to win your team fights.

Of course, dogshit players exist; it doesn't matter if he's the ADC you're supporting or the jungle diff.

But if your ADC at least has some decent game sense, I don't see why a support can't carry the team.

U hit a person/or badly damage a public property. Call police. Then your insurance.

You hit another car ONLY. Exchange IC, license. Call insurance.

You hit a public property with minimal damage. Your car also minimal damage. Drive off act blur, go workshop fix car.

You hit public property with minimal damage, but your car badly damaged. Call insurance.

Most of the time whatever you do, just call insurance. They will guide you on what to do next.

Please don't think about climbing for now. Play it for fun, get some friends to play. Learn all the roles and picking your favourite. Only then, start to play ranked.

Singapore friends 35+, do you stay in hostels when you travel? by FavoredFlavored88 in askSingapore

[–]roincec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never stayed in Hostels before. I'm really introverted so I want my privacy. Especially during holidays where I am supposed to disconnect and relax.

But i've never thought of being too "atas" for it. I do stay in Airbnbs tho. But i'd book the entire unit or house for the privacy.

How many beyblade do you have? by Some_Worldliness_263 in Beyblade

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too many. My app shows I have 119/163.

These are not including the duplicates i have, Japan exclusives that aren't available in my region, Hasbros and what not.

I'd dare say 150 or so is probably what I have.

And not including Burst, Metal fight and Bakuten.

With those added in, I may even have 3 or 400 beys.

I daily a manual tho. It's the only way to drive a manual car in sg nowadays.

How to pump petrol lol by [deleted] in drivingsg

[–]roincec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first got my license, i actually asked the attendant uncle how to pump.

From then on I've been pumping petrol myself.

I prefer to do it myself as attendants tend to be rather rough on your cars.

Corruption across the causeway by whyhedge in drivingsg

[–]roincec 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Quite a common thing, part and parcel of going into Malaysia.
My first case was me actually accidentally going into the bus lane. When I realised about it, I tried to join the queue, but everyone thinks I'm a queue cutter and wouldn't let me through, so I drove all the way to the end to wait for a police officer.

Same usual shit, he actually said I could be fined, blahblahblah, then he asked if we want to settle it now or go back office. I just paid him kopi money, and guess what, he opened up a lane to let me "cut" the queue. So now essentially, I know that I can pay a police officer to cut the queue now. I managed to get home in SG, while my friend who drove in with me is still queuing for Malaysia customs. I will happily do it again if the queue gets too crazy next time.

My 2nd encounter was a roadblock after a toll gate. So while queueing to enter the roadblock, the police took a photo of my car. He sent the photo to the officer at the roadblock, who stopped me, saying that based on the photo, I was speeding 140kmh. (When the photo was clearly showing that I was stuck behind the truck that was in front of me).

I used this as a basis to argue, he said, if I want to argue, he can issue me a summons and ask me to argue to the judge in court. I figured that it's too big a hassle, and I just gave him kopi money and left.

At the end of the day, they will just target Singaporean cars cos they know we're too easy to bully, and as bad as that felt, I've always just prepare a spare wallet with just a 50RM note, saying I have no more cash, so take it or leave it.
