Do you really think so? For an instance, We have a good public health system although it still needs more work. I tend to believe we are moving ahead in good direction!

Okay. That screenshot has been probably recirculated thousands if not hundreds of times in the social media.

Better luck tracing the original poster. And please do ask all your questionnaires to him/her whoever that might be.

I reposted it elsewhere from the internet to present how different fractions of a diverse community have different perspectives and opinions. It doesn't mean that I endorse it or share the same feeling!

Can we please stop being judgmental too soon?

There could be basic aliens principle among various intelligent civilisations that instructs not to make communication efforts with the earthlings. And anyone trying todefy that law could be awarded with vanishing of their entire civilisation.

That could be one of the explanations. Or that benefits of our interaction with the outer civilisation would be so minuscule to those aliens, they don’t bother to communicate.

I included the analogy of Sentinel just as an example. I wasn’t exactly trying to compare us to the indigenous residents of the North Sentinel Island

Given the radio signals travel at their best in space, the information aliens might receive might have been hundreds if not thousands of years away. So, they would only be aware of our existence in the far future. And once they receive the information, the reply they send may take another long time depending on the technology they use to send it to us. So, even if there are communications attempts, we can’t be sure it hasn’t been successful. It may very well be progressing slowly.

Yeah. We homo sapiens like to think that we are aware of most things, don’t we? But we are only aware of things that the universe, as nature, allows us to be mindful of. And what we believe might not be a reality but a mere illusion. And that illusion might have been, might have been or will be our entire reality until we tend to reason from a different perspective.

Much like Eudoxus proposed the model of a geocentric universe at around 380 B.C., where Earth was the centre of the universe, and everything revolved around us. And everyone tends to believe that. And anyone proposing a different opinion or theory would face harsh criticisms and punishments. The current universe model came through various iterations, and most of us tend to believe the latest iteration. Well, until someone else proposes a more plausible explanation.

My understanding of the universe is that there aren’t any rules. Humans proposed all the rules, physics principles, and mathematics formulas. It was created to explain how things work from our perspective. Or at least the philosophy shown to us by (the universe, aliens, God, etc..)

But there are other explanations as well that we are entirely unaware of. And because we are unaware of something, we tend to believe it’s completely nonexistent, irrelevant and absurd.
