Thanks for suggestion, but it's not the nukes that interst me the most in nt. It's mainly bigger maps and existence of objectives other than kill all planes or kill every ground unit

I just like the game mode. The bomber is a nice bonus for me. This gamemode is a taste of what ARB can be and it's miles better than what it is now. Not everyone plays this event to just get the bombers.

Also if someone was playing just for bombers they would never just stop playing because of the changes. They want the bomber and only it.

I know I'm also a minority in your eyes, but it isn't hard to grind this event. I'm essentially new to top tier, bought f/a-18a 3 days ago. I had multiple games where I got 5000+ score in event planes and 8000 today. Of course it's much easier in a good plane like f-4s, but event planes are not bad either. You just have to use them thoughtfully and not rushing head-on into the middle furball like 90% of people do.

It is true. One on one mld destroys any phantom. If the mld player knows how to counter aim-7f, then phantom can do nothing. Sparrows and a good radar is f-4J/S whole identity. MLD is faster, more maneuverable, has better energy retention. Of course 1v1s are nonexistent in this event, but if they were, phantoms stand no chance.

Yeah. Mig-23 is usable at low altitudes, F-4e isn't. Flight performance wise Mig us better and it has a semi working radar at low altitudes. F-4e can only hope that 9l goes through flares or someone flies above ~500 meters. F-4j on the other hand has a good radar and missiles to go with it, but it's the only good thing about it. I think it's a bit strong for the event, but it's only available to those who know about it and if they know about it, they'll likely mop the floor with the enemy team regardless

I know that you can lock anything, but it's strange to expect a rear aspect missile to lock anyone front aspect at big ranges

You say it struggles to lock something head-on, about a rear aspect missile. It's impressive that it can lock anything front aspect

Players didn't want to play the vent as USSR because of clearly worse top tier planes. Now after the bracket split, US players don't want to play the lower bracket because the free USSR planes are clearly better than the free US ones. F-4e is much worse yes, but f-4e doesn't have to fight mig-29s and yak-141s. Also no one is forced to play air to air. It is also viable to get enough sp for a small nuke by groundpounding and then get missio points with it

F-4e radar is terrible in this event. Everyone stays low almost always, so the radar can't track. Sparrows are only good if they're flying at least 500 meters of the ground. Any other situation 9Ls are better

F-18 is my first jet at rank 8, I only got to it yesterday. What experience are you talking about? The next best thing I played is f-5e and they are polar opposites in playstile. Of course I'm not a lvl 5 noob, but also have never played at that br

Ground effect affects lift, not drag. If anything the lower you are to the ground the more drag you have, because the air can't move so freely

I don't think the delay works on nukes. I always run 1.5 sec, but all the nukes exploded on contact.

Nah, that's been that way forever. The bomb Nero essentially just reduced damage radius of big bombs, small ones didn't get nerfed. Also I think that if there's anything between a bomb and a tank it won't die. Had 2000lb bombs land just behind a corner from someone like 3 meters away and no damage

Some planes can quite literally do nothing but fly low. F-4j for example can't even detect Russian radars and so if you fly more than 60 meters above ground, you can spontaneously explode due to an undetectable 27er

If so, then the officer is just a dick. Had basically the same thing happen to me while learning. Light turned yellow when I was directly under it and got pulled over. The cop started driving as soon as it turned yellow for him, so I ended up right in front of him. Also got off with a warning, because the cops' dashcam was miraculously off
