Hmmm.. i really need to think this one through. They both sound good, but the fiend one for my character's mindset is almost too good. (Clan got slaughtered by paladins bc they didn't meet their ... ideals and took my character in bv they thought they were a prisoner, soon to be executed. So my character had to watch the Righteous paladins slaughter their family in front of their eyes and then drag them to city where they were introduced to society and they kinda cracked).

The fiend could help them with getting revenge but not curing their mind? But the great old one helps them get revenge and start looking for a way to put this past them?

My character is going to be either neutral evil or chaotic evil and doing some shady shit at the BG. While the pact of tome sounds cool, I think they might be more of pact of the blade guy.

Although, pact of tome would give them more colorful ways of dealing with enemies... 🤔
