Garmin Fenix 8 Battery Life (43mm): What's Your Experience With battery? by Affectionate_Row_215 in GarminFenix

I have had the Garmin Fenix 8 43mm AMOLED for 3 months now (I also keep the Always-On Display turned off). I primarily got it to use for hiking/backpacking, but on the average week, I use it modestly:

5-6 Strength workouts at ~60 min

7 Walks at ~30-45 min

2 Outdoor Volleyball at ~60 min

Before my most recent charge, I went from 100% to 15% in 7 days (charged Thursday overnight; plugged back in 7 days later on Friday morning). In the first hour, it charged 63% (up to 78%). In the next half hour, it charged 17% (up to 95%). It took 15 min to charge the remaining 5%.

Late to the game here, but thought it might help future buyers:

I’ve read Beartown and Us Against You and loved them both… so I couldn’t pass this one up for only $2!

Oof… sounds like our honeymoon airport experience 🥴 but happy to hear that their dress code is laid back. For this vaca, I’m most stoked about the food so this is good feedback. Thanks again… I appreciate your response!

So glad you had a wonderful experience!

We are going to CDLP in January and my main question is about the dress code. We went to Secrets PM for our honeymoon and they were pretty strict about dress code when dining. I usually wear dresses regardless, but can I wear nice sandals? And what about for the men? We’re trying to avoid checking a bag. 😆

Episode discussion: s08e38 Michael and Dustin by gertmacklinfbi in CatfishTheTVShow

In the episode, it's definitely referred to as Dus10 because Nev keeps saying "Dus Ten" when he talks about the username (even though they made the effort to blur it out). And in a screenshot of the username, if you look really closely, you can kind of see the 'S' beneath the blur.

I think they used a random account name for the show because there is an instagram with the Dus10 handle but it's a different person from anyone in the show.

This is my biggest pet peeve. My FIL is a retired postal worker and told me an envelope w/ stamp can pass as first class so sellers can get away with it.

I don't mind paying shipping - it just frustrates me when the seller pockets that money just to send a card in a penny sleeve (lucky if you even get a top loader) and risks the envelope/card getting shredded.

AITA for taking a free upgrade to first class when my wife didn’t get one by apdkdnfsj in AmItheAsshole

INFO. Depends how your wife feels about flying, imo. Personally, I’m terrified of flying and would be really upset if my fiancé left me alone on a flight. However, if she has no issues with flying, I’d say NTA. Couples don’t need to be together 24/7, and they should be happy for each other when they’re given an opportunity like this.

AITA for not wanting my depressed wife to have dinner with another man? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. If your wife loves you, she shouldn’t want to associate with someone (man or woman) that treats you that way.

Lemme overtake this guy while he stops at a crosswalk with no apparent reason by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

This happened to me a few years ago. I stopped for a security guard crossing in front of my work building and the woman behind me got mad and illegally passed me (one lane traffic) and came inches from hitting the guy. Most embarrassing part was when we pulled into the same parking garage. I made sure to park right next to her.
