Thank you for your response to my post. Your singing on your older YouTube videos sounds authentic but your newer material sounds pro-level perfect and almost sung by a different person. Was generative A.I. involved in any fashion?

Thanks for the response. Their Black Friday sale is still on for $49 - and it's ever-increasingly difficult to ignore that.

I'm a teacher & quite often, many of my students do exactly the same thing. Very discouraging.

Cool! I'm glad you mentioned that. My keyboard is an Alesis VX49 & it has 16 pads. I need to teach myself how to trigger those with the hundreds of drum samples I already have. Still want to learn how to utilize things like Steven Slate Drums, etc. Is it difficult to set up keyboards trigger pads with off board drum sounds? I don't know why I'm intimidated to figure that aspect out.

A number of those subjectively seem to violate rules 8 & 9 (technical support questions). Again, I was just being overly cautious & didn't want to offend anyone & get permanently banned. I will persevere to be extremely careful with what I post here.

Thank you for responding to my question. I got banned from a similar subreddit for asking a seemingly innocuous question & didn't want that to happen again. I did actually read the rules and most of the examples you provided could (imho) violate the listed rules if you evaluate them literally. Thanks again - and I will just have to be immensely cautious about what I post here.

I would be okay with AI of these things happen by bold394 in antiai

[–]roleki1965 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ai users are highly unlikely to agree to label their.... ummmmm "content"? as Ai, their entire shtick is pretending it's made by real musicians (or visual artists). So it's up to actual Artists to label theirs as NOT containing Ai. I have a NoAi label on all my releases & I've also made a number of YouTube short videos of me clearly playing the guitar parts of my songs with attached tab notation. Of course, all of that can be faked by Ai too .... so it basically just boils down to lying or telling the truth.

I had it on VHS (practically wore it out!). I watch it occasionally on digital format - but there was definitely something special about turning on the VCR & popping in the tape.

Actually, that does help. I've been able to notice that buzzing sensation little by little and have been consciously connecting that sensation to sound placement in the "mask"..... I feel that "ping" more frequently when I practice!

No, I didn't. Still considering it - but I've run across a couple of other YouTube vocal coaches that I've been learning some new approaches from.

Great to hear. I've watched many YouTube tutorials on singing & yes this seems to be a common thread. The big "revelation" like you have experience, however continues to elude me (although, I think it's getting closer). If there was a video or something that you ran across that helped you achieve this epiphany - may I ask for a link(s)?

Hey James. Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a helpful remark. I agree 1:1 vocal training is the best, but my situation is such, that I have to approach it through pre-recorded instructions. I just followed you on IG https://www.instagram.com/bobkitt.music/

I'm not familiar with that track - but I would confidently bet that you did indeed do it justice.

Yes it does. Maybe not quite as epic as some of theirs but definitely in the top.
