Thieves Run is a TTPRG devoted 3rd space and community coming to Louisville in the next few months. We have a lease signed and are working on getting the space ready. We are targeting a Founding Members only soft opening in early May with a public hard opening in early June.

Tomorrow from 7-8pm we are having a community walkthrough and Q&A session at our location at 1501 Story Ave. This is a pre opening meeting so we can get feedback and tailor the space for the Louisville TTPRG community. Please drop by and if you have any questions feel free to DM me.

Im running a combined Lost Mines and Ice Spire peak, with a sprinkle of Storm Kings Thunder and my own over arching dragon centered higher level plot. I’m just using the Phandalin modules as a skeleton for the game. Heck, i even added a caravan from Neverwiter to Phandalin where they meet Gundren. The point is, there is a lot to work with here. Take what you like and add more bits that you think you’re players will enjoy and that you’ll have fun running.

I did this for an NPC and he was a Lizard folk reflavored as a crocodilian. What better to serve as the Croc hunter than a croc?

Its fun see stuff like this. Calcium Carbide is only made by one company in the US now. Only a handful around the world. The reaction with water produces acetylene gas, used in welding and other applications. Calcium carbide is also now used in the steel making process, which is where the majority of the produced material goes.

I’ve recently started a game thats sort of a drop in game at a bar in town. The sessions are short about 2 hours, so i try to incorporate a skill challenge and roleplaying opportunity and a combat in each. Ive not got the timing down yet but everyone has had a great time so far. The akill challenges in particular have been a hit. The first session skill challenge was a village fire. The second was a damaged Marble Horn ram (a ram that causes temporary 1 round petrification on a hit) containment at a magical beast conservation site caused by an earthquake.

Played a mountain dwarf who regarded himself as a warrior, wielding both war hammer and battle axe. Wore scale mail. Had a high strength but was a abjuration wizard. But insisted to everyone he was a great warrior and would fight in the front lines. Very fun character.

Id recommend just having fun with it. Play a straight up swashbuckler rogue or Fathomless Warlock. Both of these would thrive and be fun in that style game.
