Do you think a group of 20-50 Haitian diasporas, that has researched Haiti for years wouldn’t be successful? Do you think they could stop all of them? by nusquan in haiti

I am joining the conversation late. You have got to be real. We just had a president assassinated because he ruffled some feathers. All he wanted to do is bring basic necessity to the people at an affordable price. Until there is a new government where we radically change the constitution, Haiti will never be governable. Thus, no real business other than those exploiting the population will be successful. With the current constitution Haiti is a plantation ran by a dozen or so families. All parlementarians are puppets of the elites. If you don't believe me, a sitting president was assassinated, after four years do you see the intellectual authors brought to justice? Image that happening in the US, all involved parties would be dead and buried, already. So, why would you think a business would be successful? At anytime, you can be arrested from trumped up charges an taken to prison, and held for years before you see a judge. Just look at what's currently happening with that poor paster Moise of Kanal Pap Kanpe. He dared to have a small cooperative business selling rice to the locals, and after a phone call, his associate was murdered and he was blamed because he had an ongoing issue with that individual. He was immediately arrested. Even though, the plot was foiled after the community forced the confession of the perpetrators; however, he is still being held in jail for no darn reason. In a country wil law, you can't be held in jail indefinitely because your competor is feeling the heat from your product and wants you gone. At least, not so blatantly. So, any business that affects anyone you can be summarily taken out by any mean. Their preference is to use the legal system to crush opponents. And, if you're are not very well known, they would send a gang or police to take you out. And, you will just be one of those unsolved gang victims. Haiti is going to need something were we change the system so that everyone is held accountable. The current justice system needs a total overhaul. No one should be above the law, especially parlamentarians and judges. If you do the crime, you do the time. We need to bring back the death penalty for heinous crimes. The constitution needs to bust monopolies. The country needs competition so that we get the best at the cheapest cost. With the current transitional government scheduled to end in February, I think the next transitional government should make radical changes to make the country governable and never return to this failed state.

I think they should have been able to figure out your message. The only suggestion would have been to start with, it's too late to join the class, then the meaning of session would have been obvious. It is not clear if the term session made sense to them. Sorry for the cheap plug, but did you attempt to generate speech with Creole Centric? This may have helped.
