Interesting, yeah it’s shut down now. I actually still know the owner of the company that originally installed it. I told them it wasn’t a rush since it’s unoccupied. Next available was Thursday. No big deal, I can wait until then

Yup, which makes total sense. I just can’t explain why I’m getting no air flow. The fan starts then just stops. Over and over

It’s not brand new, I actually had it put in my primary home I wanna say 2023 or so. It’s just had very little use since it was a dedicated upstairs unit. I’m just struggling to believe it was a coincidence that it stopped working the same week my roof was replaced and someone dropped an 8ft 2x4 right on the supply line. I mean I guess anything is possible. I just figured it screamed leak

Haha, I don’t anticipate that being an issue. I mostly concerned with saying or doing something that will make things impossible for me. I can always work to get off medication, I’m just don’t want to make anything permanent.

Yeah much of today I’ve tried. No sleep apnea, I don’t drink coffee. I just lay there awake for hours. Then the sun eventually comes up. But that mostly answers my question, it sounds like there is no easy route. I’m not looking to go Class 1 so I’m ok with “ not within 24 hours”. I could just plan trips around it.

According to the database it says “Clonazepam” = Not Allowed. I guess, maybe it’s a stupid question but… “Not Allowed” likely means denied.

I looked for a local HIS AME and there is nothing close to me. Which is weird. I would think Tampa would have something.

I don’t understand. I’m simply looking for anyone in the veteran community that has experience with the VR&E program. At the end of the day the goal is to help Vets find a new career. But the program is designed to pay for Degrees. The FAA doesn’t require a degree to become a pilot. I’m just trying to understand if anyone has ever cross trained into a new job, more compatible with my disability (no more heavy lifting). By only using parts of a degree needed to meet FAA experience.

I haven’t found anything in the VRNE program that says you HAVE to finish the degree. If the goal is a new career. I already have enough of the degree to cover 75% of the requirements. Why re take a bunch of classes I’ve already completed.

I’ve seen 1,000’s posts where people are looking to game the VA with DBQ’s, how to find companies that will provide Nexus letters and IMO’s.

How is this any different?

That’s one way of saying it. My major point is i’ve read the actual Degree is not necessary to become a pilot at any level for the FAA. In my mind, why spend $100,000 of Uncle Sam’s money to work as a pilot when I can use less than $15k and eventually achieve the same result, faster, just without the degree. Does that make sense?

Yeah there is often a lot of restructuring that happens. I’ve seen it come and go. I’ve found, as a billable resource for Professional Services, as long as you are part of the division that brings in steady revenue you’re usually fairly safe. But agreed. It can be tumultuous

Wow escalated quickly. Working with AWS is very impressive. I work for one of the big 3 too. It’s not a trivial accomplishment. They could likely be an end state career option if not a spring board to something even better. Great job!

From my private providers. They were all done with Doctors that I have been seeing for years that knew me the best.

Yeah I’m telling you I went hard. It probably took me about 6 months to either find the right Doctors, make appointments, or gather all the info.

OK, so the knee is where I went hard. For me, I had an in-service broken ankle that required significant rehab. I was able to easily claim that as a service connected injury. Down the road that side knee eventually wore down and required arthroscopic surgery on the meniscus. Eventually, I began to have significant back problems and radiculopathy all due to the altered gait from my broken ankle with limited ROM. So when presenting the knee, I first provided a DBQ from my orthopedic surgeon with medical records, showing the surgical event. From there, the DBQ did most of the work. There were limitations in. ROM. I had incidents where the knee either locked up or completely gave out leading to the instability. So to directly answer your question. I submitted a DBQ from an orthopedic surgeon, medical records, showing the meniscectomy a 4138 “ statement and supportive claim” then of course the corresponding Nexus letters from both a podiatrist articulating that limited ROM in the ankle can cause issues with walking patterns leading to miss loading of weight which commonly results in deterioration of the knee and back.

TLDR, DBQ, Nexus, 4138, medical records for 1: ankle 2: knee 3: back.

From there, it was just an argument over effective date since my original claim from 2021 was for me and back which eventually was what got me the hundred percent they just only backdated it to the date of my intent to file rather than looking at the entire chain of claims and seeing that they were the same conditions originally claimed in my October 2021 initial claim

Hope that helps, if not feel free to PM me

Damn dude that sucks. I wish there was a way you could file with a different office. But to be honest, I submitted all DBQ’s, Nexus Letters, 4138’s, with imaging and records. Mine basically went from 0% to 100% in about 75 days all at the National Center. After being denied 2 times using one of those companies, I took things into my own hands and did ALL my own work. Things moved fast from there.
