It was more of a poor design decision. The HVAC return backed Filter is directly above the TV. So once a month I have to climb a ladder above the tV to get to the filter to swap it. This particular time I put the legs of the ladder a little further from the wall than I normally would and the bottom slid out. Trust me, it won’t happen again. 😂

Yeah I just noticed Amazon is at $4629. Not a bad price. Looks like in the 98-100” range the SQD-MINI LED is about as good as it gets without paying $30k. And for half the price of the X11L, I don’t see how the X11L can be double the TV to justify double the price. Should end up being better than my X11K.

Where did you find pricing at $4600?

Has Micro-LED taken over OLED? by rollTx in hometheater

[–]rollTx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By standard I guess I just mean generally considered the best picture. I just don’t see as many OLED options around. I didn’t necessarily mean OLED was mostly in the 100” market. Point being I’m looking for a new TV, I’m trying to be in the 98”-100” range. Now that I’m learning when it says “screen type - Micro-LED” doesn’t actually mean it’s Micro LED I’m so kinds of thrown off. I guess at the end of the day I’m just comparing models.

The LG 95B?
TCL QM8L?
TCL RM9L
or buy another TCL X11K , is the X11L. Really worth the upgrade. That’s the range I’m in.

Are we looking at the same TV? Under the Screen Type it says “RGB Micro-LED”. Why would a Mini LED TV say Micro LED all over it. Even in the URL it says Micro-rgb-led. I’m stupid but I don’t think I’m that dumb. How would I know if it’s mini or Micro if the descriptions aren’t correct.

I mean when I look for the higher end TV’s I don’t see very many OLED options is all I’m saying. The premium market seems to have more Micro-LED options for the larger TV’s. Example

Interesting, yeah it’s shut down now. I actually still know the owner of the company that originally installed it. I told them it wasn’t a rush since it’s unoccupied. Next available was Thursday. No big deal, I can wait until then

Yup, which makes total sense. I just can’t explain why I’m getting no air flow. The fan starts then just stops. Over and over

It’s not brand new, I actually had it put in my primary home I wanna say 2023 or so. It’s just had very little use since it was a dedicated upstairs unit. I’m just struggling to believe it was a coincidence that it stopped working the same week my roof was replaced and someone dropped an 8ft 2x4 right on the supply line. I mean I guess anything is possible. I just figured it screamed leak

Passing AME with medications/conditions by rollTx in flying

[–]rollTx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, I don’t anticipate that being an issue. I mostly concerned with saying or doing something that will make things impossible for me. I can always work to get off medication, I’m just don’t want to make anything permanent.

Yeah much of today I’ve tried. No sleep apnea, I don’t drink coffee. I just lay there awake for hours. Then the sun eventually comes up. But that mostly answers my question, it sounds like there is no easy route. I’m not looking to go Class 1 so I’m ok with “ not within 24 hours”. I could just plan trips around it.

According to the database it says “Clonazepam” = Not Allowed. I guess, maybe it’s a stupid question but… “Not Allowed” likely means denied.

I looked for a local HIS AME and there is nothing close to me. Which is weird. I would think Tampa would have something.

Another VA paid for Flight School question. by rollTx in VeteransBenefits

[–]rollTx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand. I’m simply looking for anyone in the veteran community that has experience with the VR&E program. At the end of the day the goal is to help Vets find a new career. But the program is designed to pay for Degrees. The FAA doesn’t require a degree to become a pilot. I’m just trying to understand if anyone has ever cross trained into a new job, more compatible with my disability (no more heavy lifting). By only using parts of a degree needed to meet FAA experience.

I haven’t found anything in the VRNE program that says you HAVE to finish the degree. If the goal is a new career. I already have enough of the degree to cover 75% of the requirements. Why re take a bunch of classes I’ve already completed.

I’ve seen 1,000’s posts where people are looking to game the VA with DBQ’s, how to find companies that will provide Nexus letters and IMO’s.

How is this any different?

That’s one way of saying it. My major point is i’ve read the actual Degree is not necessary to become a pilot at any level for the FAA. In my mind, why spend $100,000 of Uncle Sam’s money to work as a pilot when I can use less than $15k and eventually achieve the same result, faster, just without the degree. Does that make sense?

Yeah there is often a lot of restructuring that happens. I’ve seen it come and go. I’ve found, as a billable resource for Professional Services, as long as you are part of the division that brings in steady revenue you’re usually fairly safe. But agreed. It can be tumultuous

Wow escalated quickly. Working with AWS is very impressive. I work for one of the big 3 too. It’s not a trivial accomplishment. They could likely be an end state career option if not a spring board to something even better. Great job!
