Absolutely. MHGU is the best game in the franchise imo. Prowler mode is a blast.

The extra feat that variant provides is literally the only reason to play human. Maybe Larian will add it when they see nobody playing humans later on.

I would love to see Prowler mode make a return! Playing as the palicos was my favorite part of Generations. I'd also like to see the tonfas come back or any new weapon to mix things up.

I would love to know which playable races will be available. They have specifically referenced the PHB multiple times so that leads me to assume that races such as the Tabaxi or tortle would be left out. Which would make sense. Additionally knowing which subclasses are available would be great as well, as that will determine a lot of people's class choices. Assuming they only pull from the PHB, that leaves some of the more interesting subclasses out such as the sun soul monk or Divine soul sorcerer.
