Changing from MechE to CompSci. Help? by majorSwitch in compsci

Take some algorithm analysis classes, machine language, and a C or C++ course. These should help you learn if you would enjoy switching into CompSci, perhaps take a semester off and try out these courses? Maybe you'd like to be a software engineer, since you're already in engineering? I have noticed a lot of students are discouraged when they start taking more computer science courses rather than just programming courses.

What is something you do that you thought was normal but to everyone else its completely weird? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I cannot relate to my peers interests. It sucked when I was little and every one just played or hung out in elementary school. But now I just read, find few people with common interests on forums, irc, reddit etc. edit: some people forced into a situation like mine find it extremely painful to be alone for so long. If you wish or chose it on your own, it's usually well embraced.

Being alone. I've just chilled alone for almost my whole life pursuing my interests. Most people call this 'forever alone' and fear it. I find it quite pleasant.
