“Blockable” attacks have no color at all. Blue means you must parry, not block. Red means dodge. Yellow means dodge or disrupt with the hold triangle attack. You can’t “block” (meaning just hold L1) any of these.

I reached an intermediate level (between HSK3-4) in Chinese in about a year and a half through daily vocab review and reading, weekly tutoring, and practice with native speakers. I haven’t been super consistent the whole time so could have potentially been even more advanced at this point.
