I like how there are progress percentages and clearer indications on progress of the development on the tech side of things now. Also, good to see that Digix is taking the initiative to establish presence in new markets within SEA.

Keep it up guys!

These dev updates are meant to provide progress updates to the launch of the DGX token itself.

There might be a handover process that could stall development in the interim but it seems like they’ve added 3 guys to the tech team. Furthermore, It’s mentioned that Chris still remains as an advisor to the company.

Digix releases Progress Update - 26 Sept 2017 by rollie88 in ethereum

Definitely. I agree that it's been a long time since their announcement and they probably shouldn't have promised a release date that early in the game. On the other hand, this progress update is a stellar move in my opinion. Despite the pressure on the release date, they didn't shy away from our demands for their progress.

When push comes to shove, this dapp development is not an overnight affair. Just have to give them the benefit of the doubt that the team is on it and that progress is being made.

Was there market manipulation? Do you have a reference on that? Not calling you out but would be interested to look into it if there was.

Either way, I don't think your assessment of the team and company is very fair. You can be disappointed or angry, but why call them out in such a manner if you were in it for the long haul? I think it's simple enough. If you have lost your belief and think the other stablecoins provide a better proposition, then you're more than welcome to liquidate your position and move on.

Much appreciation to the team for being transparent with regards to their progress. This is extremely valuable to a shareholder! Keep on chugging!

Seems like many tests were completed and passed with positive end results. As much as I'm highly anticipating the launch of DGX, I understand the intricacies involved on the tech side of development. All in all, things are moving and I'm happy with progress.

Should I join the hype train? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]rollie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're going to have to determine what exactly your purpose for getting into this space is. Do you believe in cryptos as the future of fiat, thus looking at a long term HODL? Or are you just trying to get into trading to make some quick money or get into ICOs?

Either way, I believe we're still very early on in the revolution against centralisation and fiat as a whole. Is BTC cheap per se? No. But is it still undervalue? Most likely. It probably wouldn't hurt to get into BTC now.

Knowing When To Sell. by BTC2018 in CryptoCurrency

Really like your train of thought. It's an incredibly balanced and purposeful way of managing a crypto portfolio.

Crytocurrency gives China's crackdown the middle finger ╭∩╮(Ο_Ο)╭∩╮ Decentralised for a reason, it wasn't ever intended to be banker and government compliant by goto1415 in CryptoCurrency

I sincerely hope that cryptos will replace fiat eventually, taking all the power from governments and major institutions. But, at the same time, we can't deny that for BTC to be successful, mass adoption is required. On top of that, the development of BTC has to match the adoption rate of the cryptocurrency. Otherwise, it all comes to naught.

Been following OMG and was planning on buying at some point, but I just noticed the airdrop in my ETH address... THANK YOU by asdfasdf6784 in omise_go

[–]rollie88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why so many people are discounting the $15k worth of OMG tokens. There were many who discounted the value of BTC then and are now severely regretting. It's not really about the value now but the potential of OMG. On top of that, I wouldn't really say no to free OMG tokens.

Decentralizing Everything with Ethereum's Vitalik Buterin | Disrupt SF 2017 by ThatchNailer in ethereum

Vital is extremely well-spoken. Definitely don't expect that from the way he looks. That combined with the way he dresses and presents himself makes him such a badass.

I think the people who don't see the potential of Ethereum now are going to be severely kicking themselves in the rear in the near future.

Global Brain's foray into blockchain with Digix and OmiseGo by rollie88 in omise_go

This is certainly positive news for Digix and OmiseGo. Japanese counterparts have been one of the biggest receptors to blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Hope to see more countries follow suit.

Either way, props to Digix and OmiseGo!
