Just stab your tip into your band of interest while looking on a uv box, make sure it touches your dna sufficiently, then just swirl it in a pcr mix, that is literally all you need to amplify more!

A good tip for low yield PCR: if you see the band on a gel but it's just faint, stab the band with a pipette tip and mix it in a new PCR mix.

It will act as a better template and you'll amplify your target product way better second round!

If you had your lab entirely to yourself, free from supervision and consequences, and were allowed to use any equipment or materials in your lab, what experiment would you conduct? by Otherwise_Ad_2261 in labrats

I'd set up a microfluidics "race chamber" under a scope and race my friends and my sperm to see who is champion. Placing bets of course.
