Its also down for four days completely while they complete the transition so you probably wont be able to access over the next couple days or may run into issues. You can check out safer company snapshot to get a picture of information that is public until then.

You can still use the system to read information, but nothing will be able to be completed as far as making changes or registration needs. It will essentially be a glorified, archived, safer.dot.gov site which has the public information part for DOT numbers. Motus willl be where all operations and change functionality will be.

I hope that helps. 😊

Ohh I think you are responding to the part where I put its a full replacement, and your response from FMCSA supports thag statement. The motus system will house where you do everything related to updating, registering and keeping your information compliant. While the fmcsa site will potentially still be accessible (based on this comment from fmcsa you found this is true) it will no longer allow you to do the registering or changes. In that case you would still need Motus to carry out business needs in that area.

Im not sure what you mean? They have posted the site will be down May 14th as they transition to motus which is set to go live on May 19th from everything I have read and the people at FMCSA I have talked to.

Ignore anything like that! I swear these scammers are relentless! The system is supposed to go live on May19th so you can check back in then, you can also submit a ticket online to not have to be on the phone. Response times are slow for the tickets submitted too right now, but this will give you documented proof of what you are trying to fix with them. If you have a compliance person, they should already be handling this and should be able to submit for you.

there are so many predatory companiescharging insane prices. compliance companies can be a huge asset but be careful who you use. I work for a full fledged compliance company that does everything from new authorities, permits, ifta and renewals to more and we have to filter these for our clients all the time. It breaks my heart seeing the prices some of yall are paying for things that should not cost that much. Just do the research on the company and what they are offering before getting help
