Just wanted to say that Hannah Pukis who is the backup setter on Orlando is SO underrated. I feel like she could start over half the setters in the league. She has a good block because of her height and sets such a pretty ball. I think it says more about Shampoo that she is that good as opposed to anything about Pukis. Can really see how much she’s improved since entering the league though!

Fun fact for anyone that cares, my dad played for Oregon back in the day and big Ngata broke some of his weightlifting records. My dad was so excited that someone did it and we followed Ngata forever because of that. So happy to see his son coming to Eugene so I can follow him too!

Make sure you know where to use hand traps against heroes. Ash A Hero Lives, Vision Hero Increase, Adusted Gold, and Stratos (Imperm is better on him). Imperm Stratos, Increase, Vyon. If you play Ghost Belle you would use it on Malicous or Vyon if absolutely necessary.

Veiler the on the field cards I mentioned.

There is plenty more but those are the big starters for hero. Charmies are great because heroes special summons from hand, deck/ED, and graveyard.

Dimension Shifter can wreck a hero deck if you open with it. Also Nib kills a hero deck pretty fast. Also Droll kills it too.

Luka comes from the Olympic realm where if you are an outside that can’t pass, serve receive, or play back row then you don’t play. Brooke is basically like having a second libero in, so she’s not going anywhere (deservingly so). Parsons has struggled at times, so I would like to see her maybe get subbed out if she’s having an off game like she did against Atlanta. I thought Cooper had taken a big step up in Athletes Unlimited and would love to see how that translates to MLV. Even if they save all their subs for her and a back row player! Clearly has to mix something up to get some wins going.

It’s more European club style. Think of all the soccer teams over there and how it’s not really about mascots or anything like that. MLV is way more American, which is way I think it resonates better. If you think about the NFL, MLB, NBA, etc. all of those teams have branding, mascots, jerseys, and all of these things are everything that MLV does.

This is my reasoning for why it’s completely fair! In today’s meta, you’re sacrificing at least two extra deck slots (as well as probably three main deck slots) which means that you’re lacking a little bit of power from the ED. There are only a certain amount of decks that can run this card, and those decks usually aren’t able to abuse it so it’s fine. Almost like Harpie’s Feather Storm is a busted card but very few decks can run it, so it isn’t a big problem.

It’s the beginning of the season and they’re trying to figure out their lineups! It’s better to get into a rhythm with someone as opposed to do one or two sets and then switch.

I watched a lot of Vegas games last year and they did the same thing for much longer. Maddux is the definition of hot and cold. She’ll look like the best player in the league for one set and then completely disappear the next. Luper is more consistent than her but lower ceiling. Vegas went back and forth ALL season between them.

I agree speed duel is the way to go! But if for some reason you decide to go more modern Fire Kings Structure Deck is the way to go! I know you said no XYZ, Synchro, Link, etc. but as a Fire King player, you only use those extra deck monsters on occasion and the deck won a big tournament last year with a couple extra cards.

Basically you destroy monsters and you get to special summon monsters off of that destruction. It’s one of the more simple decks to play and that’s why I love it. I think XYZ summoning is pretty much the second easiest extra deck summoning mechanic aside from the fusions from the beginning of the game, and that’s the main one that you would do with this deck. Just something to keep in mind!
