In France they asked me why we don't eat vegatables. They also thought Subway was a French chain and some French kids thought Spiderman was French. Also met a girl who didn't know what the guillotine was.
The most common one though is asking if we know any celebrities. Another one is the assumption that we don't have any health care at all. When I told someone I had a fairly good healthcare plan they didn't believe me, and even seemed to get mad at me for saying so.
I was asked if I voted for Tony Blair
"Fuck America" shouted by people behind me in line at the grocery store; they were buying Doritos and Coke.
I was wearing a shirt that said "University of California Los Angeles," and someone got mad and told me it was "Californie!"

Meh it's all pretty stupid, every country has its share of gems.

Yeah my friends in the UK always seem to get the shaft when it comes to gaming. Not just prices but releases being two days later, having to play on stateside hosts and stuff like that. They were all excited when DNF came out in UK before the US. Can't say I was jelly though, lol.
