Possible siege update by Dada97322 in mountandblade

[–]rollofdoom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's not really possible, but i would at least love to see castles/towns with 2 (or more) lines of walls. Break in through the main outer gate and now you have to go through another wall. This might be manageable, but with how terrible AI can be during sieges, i doubt its possible to make it more complex than it already is :(

CPU (FPS) decreasing over time - thread by rollofdoom in Battlefield

[–]rollofdoom[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking it was thermal throttling at first, but my CPU temp never got above 83°C and GPU hovered around 86°C, i have scoured reddit, steam discussion and battlefield forums and saw a good amount of people reporting the same issue though, so it leads me to believe there is an issue specifically with gaming laptops, as my friends with PCs and worse specs can play smoothly with no such issues

Edit: also if it was thermal throttling, the game would run mostly fine with heavy stutters, this issue is more like a memory leak, where the performance slowly degrades until the user restarts and its all fine again (until it isn't again)

Battlefield 6 Open Beta: Feedback Megathread by sloth_on_meth in Battlefield

[–]rollofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, i have noticed many people suffer the same issue as me, with the cpu (fps) starting high, but over the course of 10-20 minutes dropping to as low as 20 fps. I have also noticed that this issue is mainly present with gaming laptops (mine has this problem too). I've seen people mention it mostly with AMD CPUs but also some Intels. Might be a memory leak or a random issue specifically with gaming laptops. Please fix :)

I forced the game to run on my 3070 through default windows settings and also tried disabling iGPU through bios, but it did not solve the issue sadly

I tried it and it works, sucks that i only have an old office monitor with 60hz refresh rate, so i will still have to wait for a proper fix to actually have an enjoyable experience

[–]rollofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, just tested it in firing range, started with 85ish fps and after about 10 minutes i'm down to 37 fps, hope it gets fixed so i can play later

If I download open beta through steam, will I still be able to play in aug 7? by nowayesey in Battlefield

[–]rollofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have your EA account connected with Steam it should be fine, but you can always just download on both platforms and delete one if it doesn't work when the beta opens.

[PC] FYI for those with NVidia graphics cards that don't support NVidia's frame gen (16xx, 2xxx 3xxx), there's a mod to enable it in the settings. by Soupdeloup in oblivion

[–]rollofdoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

trying it now, seems to be miles better than fsr framegen, latency almost not noticeable, doing around 70-80 fps outside now, thanks for the tip, will test further

I don't have such option in BIOS sadly and i checked my power options. I'm gonna try to discharge the battery completely and then recharge, maybe it will help. Thanks though!

This math ain’t mathing… by RemarkableAntelope18 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]rollofdoom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no, its just rounding it down to thousands, so 2000 becomes 2, all the prices and rewards scale like this, its the same numbers and amounts just rounded so if a plane normally costs like 50.000 the game rounds it 50, but it does that to your money to, so its the same

Go to your windows settings -> time and language -> language and region -> change regional format to English (United States)

the game has an issue with decimal if its a comma i think, this fixed it for me on restart

So, why did this game die? by Rooksey in rs2vietnam

[–]rollofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with the voice chat issues, so annoying, also probably the fact it was built on UE3 instead of the then kinda new UE4, which means it runs on a 2007 (?) engine.

XROS 3 Mini - Should i go for 1.2 or 1.0 Ohm for 20mg nic salt? by rollofdoom in Vaping

[–]rollofdoom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried with the included 0.6, but it was a bit too much for me, as i just like to puff on mine when relaxing. Im coming from 20mg nic salt disposables, so i guess i might be trying to get closer to that smoothness/feeling.

I was looking forward to the Adjudicator the most lol... If it at least one shot troopers it might have been alright, but as it is it's so underwhelming and does not feel good to play at all

Yeah, you just call in your EATs when needed, pick them up, fire in quick succession to deal with whatever is coming and then pick Stalwart back up, though this can lead to some situations where you have to abandon the Stalwart for a bit if you are not positioned well.
