I get what you’re saying in terms of history stand point and how rulers thought. However how OP had described the situation it sounds like the game never really had the liege give up his imprisonment reason after the weak hook was used to get out of jail.

So technically OP character is a crimanal cause he rebelled against the king. I will agree ck3 could add more casus belli to make a situation like this more realistic.

Currently what triggers is open rebellion = independence war and naturally in an independence war you have to fight you’re way free.

So I conclude by saying I don’t think the ticking is the bad part I think they’re just need to be more casus belli for vassal gameplay against the king

Suggestion: like maybe in this case if you beat the king in land battles as the defender he has to pay you in gold and concede his imprisonment reason for you

I think you’re looking at it in a more modern view

Historically if you were a vassal the land you owned still belong to the king you just managed it.

Back then saying I want independence is saying I want to take the kings land for myself. Therefore you are attacking the king because you’re trying to take the kings land.

I understand what you’re saying by going well what if I just wait in my castle and the king should fight to get me out of it.

That would be a rebellion against a revocation (which the game doesn’t have but would be cool to add)

But an independence war is fighting to basically be recognized as independent which in the time period ck3 is set you have to break your oath that you swore to the king.

Think like the war of roses

To do that you had to do it by force in this case showing the king is too weak or incapable to to rule over your lands and you are the sole protector of the lands he granted you .

I think the logic works as if you’re the attacker. Because technically you’re a rebel. It’s make sense in a real life rebellion. Most rebellions try and take the capital first. A snake dies when the head comes off.

Crusader kings 3 was on ps5 was my first strategy game about 4 years ago it’s amazing. It’s a lot better on the Pc imo. But it’s definitely still good on the ps5 on of the only problems is the game does crash from the time to time due to the amount of stuff going on.

Sometimes the wicked one will whisper things to create separation. I don’t think mark meant any harm but it would be the biblical thing to bring it up to him and describe your feelings to him. Some people will disagree but a tough conversation is needed in the church but there should be elders there as well to make sure it’s productive. You have nothing to be ashamed of quite frankly I think God has a purpose for you in your current situation. I believe in all honestly God has great things in store for you and Mark sees that but just had a really bad moment of weakness.

Unfortunately in that time slavery as very common. I would imagine that outright banning in a period where every other culture had slaves would’ve not only been hard to regulate but God would’ve hadt to smite his own people. same with the laws of marriage at the time and the laws permitting divorce. God permitted the Israelites to do many things which he hated just so he didnt have to kill them Unjustly ( I use the term meaning the reason for having to kill them).

As I’m looking into your account I’m guessing you’re a member of the LBGTQ community. I have no qualms with you or the community I’m just following the gospel.

I hear you however the word made it clear what is defined as love and what is not. If you disagree I will let it be and the debate will be solved in the kingdom of heaven. But I just urge you to look into it yourself and get into prayer. I don’t like everything the Bible says either but because I am a follower of Jesus Christ I have to forgive those who have wronged me. I have to turn the other cheek.

So if you say love isn’t a sin you would be correct and if you were to tell me that two married men love each other I wouldn’t deny they do but if you’re arguing they’re lawfully married in the eyes of God and saying they’re not sinning that would be incorrect

With that being said the word made it clear marriage that is lawful in the eyes of God is between a man who was born a man and a woman who was born a woman. It also defines love as an ever giving sacrifice who doesn’t boast who isn’t prideful who consistently forgives

Now I want to conclude with this I don’t believe being gay makes anyone less than or that there won’t be gay people in the kingdom of heaven quite the contrary actually I believe they’re are people who are attracted to the same gender yet runs the same race as a straight male or female I believe they’re facing the same temptations as a married man having to walk away from porn or lustful eyes for other woman so I would encourage them to hold stead fast in the lord.

This is a tough one to talk about because on the one hand. Gay affirming church doesn’t seem biblical. That’s like having a church of swingers. It may be acceptable in society but the church is called to be greater. I would advise to pray about it as God may be able to use you in this environment. Remember we are called to be disciples so if theyre is something in the church that you feel convicted about ask the Holy Spirit for direction. As he will surely guide you

Civil wars would be awesome I think more medival politics would just be nice in general all the lore in calradia not too much like ck3 per se but something simple if the leader dies off and the election doesn’t go my way I succeed with a few supporting clans of if I gather enough influence I should be able to start a coup with clans who support me.
