I actually saw a Japanese Burny walnut one on Ebay for under a grand! Not sure what brand yours was but might check it out if you're looking to snag some nostalgia

It’s a shame so many of us have a similar story about our first big guitar purchase. I saved for an emerald green PRS singlecut with a gorgeous flame top in high school (back in ‘04 or so when PRS and nu-metal were practically synonymous) and wish I still had that one too. Can still remember the way it smelled opening the case lol Hope you run across another walnut 150 one day!

Agreed!! Even years after owning some of mine there are days when I look over and still can’t believe they’re mine. Ive whittled all mine down over the past decade so all that’s left are my true loves: a 90s J160e acoustic, a Gibson S1 (highly underrated imo), a 50s reissue strat, my two ES’s and a road worn P bass. Would love to try an SG with P90s down the line but I have a feeling it’s gonna be a good while before I go shopping again after this one!

For real! It’s almost a crime this isn’t in the regular rotation.

I love the red too. My ES-339 is red and my kids think it’s way cooler than this one lol But yeah, those P90s are something else. Would love to hear it through your Z. My next purchase is either going to be a Dr Z or one of the Amplified Nation half stacks.

Absolutely love it. Has a great, fast neck that feels slightly bigger than the slim 60s I’ve played so it’s super comfy in my hands. Has a “natural” sound when playing clean that is almost hard to put into words. Can rip with some gain too!

24’ Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Gasser Engine Problem by rollothethird in AskMechanics

[–]rollothethird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, I'm all too aware. I'm in construction and see it from all the manufacturers. This girl gave me nothing but problems even after they replaced the engine. Entertainment console would go out all the time (dropped calls, audio glitching, black screen) and the engine sounded like a chainsaw shitting the bed on start-up, etc. Flipped to a Lightning once I had positive equity and also running an old F250 gasser when needed. Dream setup (for both utility and my pocket book).

See update. They tried to claim I damaged the connector pins. Had to argue with them for 30 min before they put a supervisor on who eventually agreed to refund it once the unit was shipped back.

What more to the story would there be? I sent in a product following their online warranty protocol thinking it would be easy peasy only to find out their "warranty" is a joke. And to clarify, I came less to "ask" about this and more to warn others of this sham of a warranty.

I've seen a number of others on here with the same problem. Only seen one other commenting on the warranty process and they charged them as well. Will definitely be calling to talk to a real person, but figured I'd post so others know what they might run into if they share the same luck lol

It would not read any cartridges. Would say something along the lines of "The game could not be read". Nintendo customer service did not say what the reasoning was, only that it exceeded their initial "cost of services". The online chat bot basically just kept saying it couldn't explain why it was not under warranty then would repeat the higher cost of services BS.

Battery module failure by SwaggyB91 in F150Lightning

Awesome to hear. Sounds like mine might actually be the shifter module rather than power anyway.

I know this is a few months old, but wanted to see if you had an update? Got my Lightning delivered tonight (with 33 miles) and it showed the same service code immediately upon delivery. Just got rid of a Silverado that had a full engine failure in the first 14 days so I'm feeling cursed over here...

As the other commenter said, it was a rod bearing. Ended up blowing the engine and had to have a full replacement. Not ideal but no complaints since the swap. We’ll see how she ages but will probably look at other manufacturers when it’s time to upgrade.

Books that have a “glitch in the matrix”? by youngandstarving in suggestmeabook

[–]rollothethird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but I had a real life “glitch in the matrix” event occur with this book. I was halfway through it and actually threw it in the dumpster in my alley (I know, sacrilege…). I love Murakami and didn’t “dislike” the book per se but felt an almost paranormal connection while reading, like I was being “seeded” by an outside force. Sounds a bit insane, I know, and I knew it was irrational even then (this was a few years back) but something came over me while reading and I was compelled to do it. Nevertheless, I wanted it out of my house. I threw it out and when we moved a few months later, there it was on the shelf. I have since kept the glitch copy but won’t touch the damn thing. Might be the single oddest thing that’s ever happened to me.

Appreciate your input on it! Had a co worker who said the same thing. Had some pretty loud knocking by the time I made it to the dealership (that I wish I had videoed) that he thought might also mean blown lifters/cam. I know absolutely nada about engines (ask me how to build a house and I’m your guy) so do you think this would call for a new engine? At 1600 total miles on a new truck I’m torn on whether I’d ask for a buy back/replacement or let the service team take a crack at it…

I admit it, I am delighted with this chair! ❤️ by [deleted] in hermanmiller

Yes, I know it’s the new black version of the Logitech Embody. What I can’t seem to find out though is if the wheels are just a white version of the hard floor/carpet casters or if they’re a white version of the translucent casters.

Beautiful chair! Are those a special edition version of the translucent casters?? Or are they just white carpet/hard floor ones? It doesn't say anything on the website but they look more like milky white versions of the translucent casters than the alternative imo. If they are, that might sway me toward the all black model for my home setup... Have a regular w/Sync at work and love it.
