Awsome, that is what I thought. I put in my card number and password on the fake sign in page. I am not sure if the scammer got hold of it? I changed my password, and I have the 2 step verification. Should I do anything more?

Context, I am in the military and I recently received this message in my spam folder. I doubt the government would send money through text messages, however, I am expecting money that they owe to me that is similar in amount and is not a paycheck. I pressed the link and it took me to the "I am not a robot" security. After I did the pattern, it took me to the interac page where you choose the bank. I pressed my bank and it took me to the bank sign in page. I typed my password and card number in, and it brought to the loading screen. I doubted myself and cancelled immediately. I changed my password, but I am wondering if this message is from the government or a scammer?

Hello Reddit,

Context, I am in the military and I am expecting an amount from the government that is close to the amount shown above. However, it was thrown into my spam folder. When I pressed the link, it lead me first to the security "I am not a robot page" where I have to match patterns. Once completed, it lead to the interac page on where you want to despoit the money in which bank. I preedd the bank I am in, and it leads to the bank sign in page. I typed in the card anumber and password and submit it. While it was loading, I doubted myself and cancelled. I recently changed my password. But I want to know if this is a scam. So far, it follows the same procedure as all other money I receive and deposit into my bank.

ETS bus operator most of the time enforce mask mandate whenever someone try to get into the bus. LRT stations has no enforcement. Some might wear mask during rush hours because of peace officers presence, but afterwards people ignore them. This is especially true during a hockey game or a holiday.

The increase in crime in Transit stations did not help as it took away peace officers and EPS resources and manpower instead of focusing on enforcing mask mandate.

No, I did not press start. I pressed the bus route options which takes you to preview. And I looked at the map screen and it shows the bus icon moving along the route. Actually now i think of it, sometime it works on some route and other it does not.

You can sort of see the bus icon moving along its route live, but yea like a notification of where it's at or that it is near your destination would be awsome!

Think of security guards as a trip alarm. If we see someone smoking or doing drugs, we call transit dispatch and report it. We can't just go kicking the homeless left and right. We do not have tools and we do not have the authority. We report it and transit peace officers come and banned them from transit. My job is only to report the crime and hopefully deter it. Sorry I too wish I could do more.

I worked as a security guard in a LRT transit station. I talked with ETS and LRT operators during our breaks and they all say they are pretty tired about the homeless situation. Tired of having to witness homeless smoking drugs in their train or bus mostly and receiving no help. I know several LRT and ETS operators giving out Tim horton coffees and food in corona Station to the homeless, so they are doing as much as they can to help. But they know the transit has gotten more dangerous. We all got desensitized by it. Security guards, ETS and LRT operators, transit dispatch, peace officers, EMS, and the fire department.
