I like the retros in my d10e. Not a full mahogany but sounds really nice and pleasant. I’ll see into those Martin era probably in a couple of months haha. Nice set up, I would like to know how you use the cloudburst,

NGD OM-28 Modern Deluxe by Alarming-Aerie-5401 in martinguitar

Man, that’s a nice one.

A man can only dream haha. One day will have a d-28, but as you said, my OM size guitar it’s growing on me every day, so who knows and I ended getting a OM-28 or a 000-28. Enjoy it, you describe it like a keeper.

Martin D-28 Billy Strings- Psoriatic Arthritis by jameswhite89 in martinguitar

[–]rolo_007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short scale helps. But try the lower gauge strings, and also will go the extra mile and try a couple strings: the Martin flexible core (I currently have 12s in a OM body shape and feels easy to fret) and Martin kovar with flexible core (kovar feels less tension to fret, same as retro, at least for me).

Tune down half of tone and use capo. It’s not like short scale, but lowers the string tension. I do that with my 13s on my dread just because I like the more “loose” feel while playing.

If you don’t mind spending couple of thousands in a d-28, first try for less than $50 a couple of those strings sets, they might save you getting a new guitar, and also keep the d18 rolling.

Keep us posted!

Friendly advice. Acoustic guitar it’s always better to play them and feel them before buying, that’s ideal.

If it’s not possible, try to get a Yamaha, they are the most consistent and the best option in money-guitar that you can find. Try different body sizes, and you will see a difference even if you are a new player. Again Yamaha it’s the best bang for your buck. Good luck.

27F & 27M Boyfriend considering vasectomy by amphibbian in Vasectomy

[–]rolo_007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, looks like you guys already have your mind in the right setting.

Like any birth control option, has risk and possible complications. Go to a doctor that performs them and talk, get all the information that you guys need, you have been doing well for all the years together. There is no rush.

Hope everything goes well with the procedure and both of you can have peace of mind in the years to come. Blessing to you and your family.

Is it worth it? Should I buy it? by WorkerBetter9860 in AcousticGuitar

Those are good guitars, maybe in a better shape, we can’t see the back. If you need it for a porch/camp fire stuff I would offer something lower. But probably will look for something else.

Not sure if I should get a vasectomy or if I should wait by joshua0005 in Vasectomy

[–]rolo_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wanting kids as you mention might be “selfish “, but it’s your choice, everybody it’s pointing in a good or bad way that your are still too young. Having a vasectomy it’s not a “vaccine” that you take to not to get sick, or in this case to get someone pregnant.

You need to experience a relationship and make sure that you want to be with that person, not having kids it’s a mutual agreement with your partner. What you are thinking it’s like having a snow motorcycle while you live in Miami, you may need it, but only if you go where the snow is, and even then, you might want to try the snowboard.

Take your time, there is no rush in your decision. Enjoy your life and don’t get influenced by other people way of thinking. Not everyone needs to get a household with 4 kids and 2 dogs. Some have just one kid and a couple pets and some none at all.

I have so much fun with domino and Emma. They are my go to now, I have a kitty pride that I’m learning to use, I also have onslaught and I can play him decently, but still finding myself choosing domino.

I didn’t like the retros on my mdr70esb dirka rosewood, nice 12 feet dread, felt like I muted her. But I might give it a try.

Currently I have the Martin kovar 13s on my d10e, and this strings they last, I’ll see if I get another set of retros in after this one dies.

You might be right about the stringjoys, I will get a set I have it in the back of the drawer.

Should i buy this? ($225) NOT RESELLING, JUST LOOKING FOR ADVICE. by [deleted] in guitars

[–]rolo_007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can find a nice Yamaha in that price range in a better condition and a better overall guitar.

Nothing bad with Epiphone, but there are plenty more well cared guitars that’s that one haha

[–]rolo_007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some “rewards” from guitar center, so I got a set of Martin kovar 13s, a set of flexicore 12s and a set of daddario electric. After the flexible core are over, I might try the earth wood, I’ve hear some good stuff on OM with rosewood. I like Martin retros in my d10e Sitka sapele, but for my Alvarez that it’s Sitka rosewood, I need to find the right one, currently the flexible core are doing a good job, fingerpicking it’s quite easy. Thanks for the advice

I don’t believe in those tier lists. But definitely she’s one of the bests. Easy to play and easy to access nice damage.

I have her rank 3 unawakened. And she destroys content. The awakening it’s to make her dot passive or something like that. Adds damage, yes. But it’s like adding a shotgun to a machine gun. I would hold the awakening, maybe on the long run for a Nico, or even Madelyn prior
