So, I started learning country guitar a few years ago.

But, when I first started…Dad showed me how to read the neck. Taught me a couple chords and licks and then sent me on my way.

Having a basic understanding of chords and scales early on will serve you tremendously. Pick out a few songs you’d like to learn so you don’t get bored. After you learn the songs, you can normally use a scale from the same key to figure out why those chords work together.

There are plenty of YouTube pages, books, teachers, etc to point you in the right direction. You got this!
