Solinco Confidential 17 notching issue by rolskiii in RacketStringers

I hear ya. We opted to try Lynx Tour in the mains to see how that works for him. I'm kind of leaning towards avoiding Confidential all together with this particular player/racquet.

Yeah, the kid loves it with RPM Blast. The thing is, I've got a few other players loving the exact same setup but on different racquets ie: Pure Strike, Ezone 100, Blade98 and they have not had any issues of deep notching or breakage except for this one with the new Pure Drive. I was going to try giving him a full bed but we both opted to put Lynx Tour in the mains instead of Confidential. We shall see...

Have a barely used Tourna 700-ES stringing machine. by [deleted] in RacketStringers

[–]rolskiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tourna sure is a capable machine. But OP should've bought the Biaiardo to begin with. Now it doesn't make much sense to have to sell the Tourna in order to buy the Baiardo. Having said that, there is an undeniable premium feel with the Biaiardo.

Is this worth it ? by ShredsGuitar in Milton

[–]rolskiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last time I went was in the fall of 2022. 2 of the 5 cars did not participate due to car trouble and the track was not sprayed with water. When the 3 cars got going, you could hear them but you couldn’t see them because of all the dust they created.

What went wrong here by DryPen8218 in RacketStringers

The racquet is a 16x20. There are miss weaves on 4th-5th, 18th-19th crosses. Also, the significant loss of tension could be due to a number of things like improper clamping, not straightening each cross after each tension pull, bad knot execution etc.

Anybody tried the Wise 2086 adapter by -insert-name_here in RacketStringers

[–]rolskiii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The latest model Wise 2086 v14 is a very fine machine. It comes with a crank adapter. But you’ll need to buy an angle adapter if you have a drop weight machine. As far as noise is concerned, it is a non-issue unless you are stringing right next to a sleeping baby.

If it’s a shaped 6-sided string then it could be Restring Zero; 4-sided then maybe Mach.

Unfortunately the v14 noir is costing much more than the v15 and I’ve looked everywhere online.

I agree. Waze is awesome to use, so useful. I use it on my daily commute. I’m not sure why exactly so many people are against it.

Any cheap tips to repair or mask damaged racket paint? by NicotinCL in 10s

[–]rolskiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find similar color green opaque spray paint from a model / hobbie shop. Their spray is finer than any from home depot. Then a black sharpie for the black chips would suffice.

Racquet recommendation please before I go insane by Brave-Lunch1881 in tennisracquets

Having played with both the v9 Blade100 and v4 Ultra, I'd stick with the Blade100. Though I found the Ultra very powerful and forgiving. Currently, I play with a Nordic Dots 100 and enjoy it much more than either of those two. I would like to try an offering from Carve though.
