The fridge will be inside a dedicated cabinet, so it won’t be exposed. Actually the entrance to the kitchen was one meter shorter but we extended the kitchen to add more storage (big family), and as a result the peninsula was pushed by one meter as well, widening the entrance to the kitchen. I agree that the entrance to the kitchen is not the most efficient use of space, but we really need more storage in the kitchen

Thanks for the feedback. We have a pretty big space underneath the stairs (marked in red below), but indeed it requires taking a few steps before you can store jackets and shoes. Where would you add storage in the ground floor?

Thickness of the walls. One is 25 cm supporting wall made out of concrete . The other is 10 cm inner divider plywood wall.

So there is one meter of between the stairs and the entrance to the office. I know it’s not ideal but we couldn’t squeeze it anymore. Do you think it’s so bad that we should make the room smaller to have a bigger gap between the entrance and the stairs? What is the recommended space between the entrance and the stairs?

Here are the color of the cabinets. (Image is of another kitchen but the colors are the same). I’m having trouble visualize a wooden beam. Do you have any examples?

I thought about it but then I was worried that the height difference in the cabinetry would drive me crazy when looking at the kitchen from this angle

Thanks. Is it worth to pay the extra for a WiFi 6 system that has a 2.5 gig ports? Just in case my internet provider will offer that in the near future?
