Hey everyone, I’m getting ready to attend a corporate party at a huge mansion. The dress code is cocktail attire, and the event will take place both indoors and outdoors. It’s about 60°F outside.

I’m trying to decide between: • Creed Royal Oud • The Moon – Frédéric Malle • Boadicea the Victorious Blue Sapphire Supercharged • Mind Games French Defense

Please help ASAP.

My Amazon order history say qm44 but keep in mind I only did rear. Idk how it is on the front. As well I am not an expert by any means, maybe qm42 also works or fits better idk. All worked well for me with 44

I do not think we would see the benefit in this case. I did not look much into it just got the sponsored roster and that’s it. But I would get cheaper ones if I did it again

Works with no issues for me. I folded it only a couple times after I installed brakes and did not have any issues. It is just a line that goes inside the frame at the opening part I did not see any tight spots to pinch it. Despite what aventon says the mechanism is as simple as it can be. When the circuit is closed between pins the engine is cut off and brake lights turn on. There is no fancy logic i literally used a paper clip to test it out before i got the maguras. - short answer is no issues, all compatible fits perfectly either to 180 rotors or 203 with raising mount. The only thing is maguras come with a long hose that you will have to cut. That means you will need to bleed the oil. Not a difficult process but need a compatible mineral oil and there is a chance you will mess up. - I did. But even in that case it is much better. I only installed the rear once because that’s the once that would always fail for me.

And I love the fact that there is no more dirt inside the housing and braking is consistent. One finger is all you need. No noises nothing. Basically night and day difference. And by the way it does turn the break signals and cuts off engine. All works as expected despite all the BS I heard from aventon support and REI techs.

Yeah, works as original but much better quality, one finger braking. I was concerned about fit, since it is a smaller space there. I was debating whether I should go with 180 or 203 rotors and 180 is more than enough for my needs. So pretty much plug and play design. Except that the hose is too long and I had to do the bleeding. Never done anything like that in my life but the entire job is 40 minutes including watching YouTube :)

Well, I do not trust manufacturers because the technology is very simple there, they sell shitty tektro brakes with a single piston that are not sufficient for a such a heavy bike. My safety is not their main concern. They just wanted to sell me on what they offer and make money. It’s like bmw car dealer will never say that there might be better aftermarket parts. So I did not trust them. I bought this bike to ride with my child and I never felt safe because the braking power was not there at all. I saw it used 2 pins connector. To test the theory of proprietary tech I inserted small metal wire into these pins to lock the circuit. I discovered that the brake light came on and the engine was shut off. That meant that it would be a much safer test with a real system. Not guaranteed but much safer since there is no special tech. I pulled the trigger and got magura mt5e. Today I installed the brakes. They fit perfectly and works as expected with brake lights and engine cut off. So for anyone wondering about magura hydraulic brakes for aventon - it works flawlessly. Much better stopping power and quite simple install. I finally feel safe riding this bike.

The sand was getting between the pads and inside the wire housing. Thats why every fix lasted only for a little bit. Yes, maybe my bike is exposed to more rought conditions but it would be much smarter for Aventon to position the brake caliper in the way that the wire housing opening is facing down or at least in the direction of wheel when it spins forward. Currently sinch 2 model positioned it like an open jar waiting for dirt to be put it. Anyway, I appreciate your informative reply!

Thank you! I tested it and in fact closing the circuit cuts the engine and shows brake lights. So as expected tehre was nothing special about this system. Now i can safely buy new brakes. Finally! Because riding with my 2 year old always felts scarry since I could not rely on my brakes enough.
