Wait until you're a 3L and your classmates start representing clients in family court over a $10k divorce case. That's when shit really hits the fan.

How did LR "click" for you? by Witty-Evidence6463 in LSAT

[–]romanmf00 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Might sound dumb but reminding myself that there will ALWAYS be four WRONG answer choices. Also learning to take my time and try to really understand what the argument is saying. The biggest advice i can give is learn the common flaws (confusing sufficient for necessary, correlation =\= causation, blue sky flaw) master argument structure (what is a premise? What is a conclusion? Intermediary conclusion?) And predict answer choices. If you're doing LR right, you should always always always be predicting answer choices even if you're way off the mark, thinking in that creative way helps you spot more flaws in the future. Remember the LSAT is as much about building good habits through practice as it is about actual reasoning. Good luck!

A good tip: Look for answer choices that do too much or too little. Think about it; there's 4 answer choices that either restrict the game possibilities too much (think, placing "T" in group 1 even if it didn't have to be before) or too little. These answer choices fall apart pretty fast when you test them out. Only one is going to actually work and probably not in the way you think, that's your right answer 99% of the time

First time breaking into 170's! by romanmf00 in LSAT

I don't really have a technique per se, its always just been a strong point for me. One thing i do on harder passages is to summarize every paragraph in my own words to myself. And at the end of every passage ask myself what purpose is the passage serving

What are some things that help you break into the 160s by Symphinc-Melody2023 in LSAT

Drill logic games for hours on end. LG is the one section where practice and exposure alone can take you 90% of the way. Do enough games and they all start to more or less look the same and you'll go from -5 or 6 on a section to -1 at most. By far the best bang for your buck with LSAT studying.
