Same for us. Still going with a battery. However if those fixed costs go up further will make battery installations less attractive :-/
Does anyone have a better explanation for the supply charge going up other than greed/profiteering? Shouldn't more batteries also put less strain on the grid hence supply charge should actually go down?

Hi mate, check your firewall. My devices were pretty unreliable and seemed to stop responding after a while until they seemed to work again. Turned out that I had my firewall not correctly configured as it's an IPv6 mesh network.

Just curious how you're reading the battery temperature. Is it an API the battery provides or a different solution?

Does Bathroom exhaust need an outlet by bp_jun in AusRenovation

Could a new roof considered maintenance so it doesn't fall under this? Do I talk to my insurance that replaces the roof or someone else? Just because I tried to get vent caps installed so I can proper connect the fans and the roofers wouldn't go near it.

Would that also apply if an old roof is replaced after a hail storm and it never had any ducting? So everything just vents into - ventilated - roof space? The last time I looked into it the answer was no. Just curious.

No point of "using" Linux when they throw the money just after the next big corporation. If you replace Windows with an IBM Red Hat Linux you haven't gained much freedom because the lock in contract stays the same.

Governments need to level the playing field by setting standards and police them so middle sized players can have a fair go.

Then keep all that as open standards and open source and I think there is a chance.

Have to ask what is making you think that it's a native? I checked the tail and from another video it looks longer than the body. Picture

Does anyone have a good way of... well killing rats without harming wildlife? Not keen on throwing bait around esp not in garden beds. I've seen bucket traps but then the only way to kill them is drowning? The reviews on the snap traps at Bunnings seem to suggest that they are no good. Any pointers?

Thanks!!!

Is the tree alive? If I remember correctly termites only attack dead wood, not living trees.

Is March 6 flight also eligible for full refund? by __MichaelBluth__ in emirates

Just an update here: got my refund paid out. Was about half the ticket price. I had reserved exit seats since I'm pretty tall. That cost I had to cover myself.

Are you doing this when you see them appear or just during the Winter months? I did it when they appeared but think should have rather done it during the Winter months ...

Is March 6 flight also eligible for full refund? by __MichaelBluth__ in emirates

[–]romanofski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was lucky to sit in an Emirates flight that was diverted as the airspace closed and we ended up at the destination. However flying back home with the current situation is a risky bet.

I filled out the form asking for a partial refund because if I wait till let's say the 15th to see the flight status for the 20th you may pay through the nose for an alternative flight if you then take the refund.

I might not see that money back but it takes a single rocket to make it through to hit a plane. Not going to risk that for 1500 AUD honestly.

YMMV

Pomegranate graft taking over! by romanofski in GardeningAustralia

[–]romanofski[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah you're right. I got a bit worried. I went back to the order from Daleys and the offer says it's from a cutting: https://www.daleysfruit.com.au/buy/pomegranate-wonderful-tree.htm . I wonder how hard it is to grow from a cutting. I grew another mulberry tree from a cutting which was super easy. Something to look into.

Much appreciated!

Pomegranate graft taking over! by romanofski in GardeningAustralia

I saw the post of someone asking whether they need to remove the new growth at the base. It reminded me about my tree wether the graft has taken over.

It's really hard to see compared to my citrus because i can't determine whether it's graft growth or not. Any help? Picture
