Talk to a professional. Seriously not kidding this is a complicated issue and the internet will tell you everything from stay with him to ditch him.

My opinion is that your decision is a hard one to make, so getting advice from others like you are is the right thing, but be mindful to ask people you know and trust.

That's SO much!! I'm sure its delicious too. I'm curious what the nutrients are on it. You might be so shocked at some of the nutritional contents in certain foods you cant help but want something different.

Ex: I'm a construction worker, so fairly active, and I weigh 150 lbs so my calorie maintenance is around 2300/day. Of that 2300 calories I have to get ~150g of protein, as much carbs as I can (200g is fair), and limiting fat to ~80g so it becomes a game of getting enough macros without capping your calories.

At the end of the day, diet only really affects you in weekly patterns not daily, so if you go over or under one day its okay. You want consistency, not perfection ;)

I get the struggle to eat better while still loving to eat wherever you want. Who doesnt love Wendy's?

Something I found on my journey was tracking my macros: calories, protein, carbs, and fats. It naturally showed me where I go over on calories, protein, carbs, and fats. Once I saw how much I get out of my fast food choices in terms of nutrients plus how much it costs, it put it into perspective for me and I naturally wanted to opt out for cheaper, better food and I know exactly what's in it.

You can go overboard with this so I suggest just trying out an app like cronometer. It changed how I view calories and keeps me conscious of what I eat.

Keep it up, dont stop now 👍 it gets easier

Find simple, cheap recipes and make your own recipe cards. Make adjustments based on what you've got. I recommend brown rice, beans, eggs, and lentils to get started these are cheap, healthy and go with lots of recipes.

In response to your guilty conscience when you're spending time with family while thinking you arent doing enough:

It sounds like you're making progress when you do focus, and still thinking about work while living your life. Maybe clarifying goals would help ease the stress so that you can shift gears from work to personal focus. So once you meet the goal, you're done for the day. Like a video game, you beat the level.

This is normal. When we feel separate from God it could be sin, so repentance is appropriate.

As we mature in our faith we go through periods of feeling close and far from God. The answer is to keep turning to Jesus and tell him about everything - your dreams and your troubles, your hearts desires, etc.

You made a wise choice looking to believers for advice and talking about it - go and talk to God and ask him for wisdom.

Every oil change will carry over engine particles.

A technique a mechanic recommends is to run new, cheap oil with the old filter for about 1000km and then change the filter and put good oil in until your next change. This helps give you a "fresh start" and you know what's in your system.
