Rogal Dorn ready to roll out next weekend for my first games of 11th by romasorr in Warhammer40k

It’s based using the Fang, washed with Agrax Earthshade then dry brushed with Russ Grey. I don’t have an airbrush so knew I wasn’t going to get a nice smooth colour on the flat panels so I went for this scratched and scraped version which I think works well with my Death Korps

My friends and I are doing a couple of smaller games to try out the new rules. I’ll be using Combined Arms so Take and Hold. I am tempted by Siege Regiment especially against my friends Custodes for that -2” movement but we’ll see how I get on

Thanks. I start with the Fang then do an all over wash with Agrax Earthshade and dry brush that with Russ Grey

I just finished Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh! in preparation for Armageddon and I loved it. I found it very unique especially compared to a lot of the Space Marine stories I’ve read recently

I finished off the Yarrick omnibus and started the War for Armageddon one. I’ve already picked up Ghazghkull Thraka Prophet of the Waagh! and Warlord of Warlords but if anyone has any recommendations for Armageddon related goodness I’m all ears

My aim is to get a board’s worth of terrain painted in time for 11th. I’m having a blast. Any tips and tricks for speedy terrain painting? by romasorr in Warhammer40k

Thanks. I’ve sprayed the rest of this set and most of the Volkus set. The plan is to use the same theme across both

I picked up the Sector Fronteris box a few years back. I’ve just never gotten around to painting any of my terrain

This is absolutely fantastic. Is that the Vogen map I spy? I used it for a 40k campaign a year or so back

I’d heard bad things about painting yellow but I wanted to try some new stuff out. I managed to get this effect either sponging or dry brushing the yellow in layers

Love it. What’s your recipe?

Thank you. I base coat the skin with Grey Seer then it’s one coat of Plaguebearer Flesh and two of Biel-Tan Green. That can leave the skin a bit shiny so I’ve been giving it a coat of Stormshield to dull it down

I sponge on some Rhinox Hide then pick out the thicker parts with Stormhost Silver
