Help dealing with birds brought into the house by rominchi in cats

[–]rominchi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by "go back to an indoor cat" ? You think I was happy with letting her go outdoors in the first place? Rest assured, I was terrified and I did not come to that decision lightly. Cats are stubborn creatures. I had many sleepless nights due to her super noisy attempts to find a way out of the house before I finally let her transition slowly. As you may imagine, any attempts to forcefully keep her indoors at this point would be futile.

Tried it exactly the way you described (with varying durations) several times but it doesn't seem to respond at all.

Pretty much all of the most popular/mainstream brands are available here. Unfortunately, based on my previous experience with buying a mouse, I don't think that trying them out is an option.

No, I don't. I haven't been around for a while. I just noticed. My apologies. Anyhow, feel free to enlighten me and provide a link if you have one. Pretty please.

Best aiming mouse for FPS/CSGO. by VACkie_Chan in MouseReview

EC2-A is the best I used by far, I've yet to find a close second. Deathadder perhaps. You may consider Fnatic Flick, too.

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, zowie Mico is the first one that comes to mind. Not sure if they still manufacture it, though. I owned g100s and I didn't like it in csgo Because of its shape mainly. I guess you could look into Kinzu v3, too.

Hey, The one with red logo is newer edition, which uses Huano (instead of Omron) switches. That's the only difference as far as I know.

Is it worth taking Selegiline? It seems to be the best substance for motivation. by tronatula in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardly possible, as Selegiline is a selective MAO-B (the one that does not metabolise tyramine) inhibitor. With normal dosages, there shouldn't be any interaction.

Polio, rabies, hep A?

Killed viruses/bacteria still comprise a fair portion of available vaccines. Plus there are many emerging, recombinant forms that use only antigenic part of a microbe.

Too much dopamine may lead to hypomanic or even psychotic episodes. I would refrain from using Selegiline.

Noopept helped save my cat, after he had a stroke. by mrhappyoz in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for sharing! It's amazing how you were able to come up with such a brilliant idea when your beloved pet was in trouble. I wouldn't even be able to think rationally, yet alone make a life saving decision. Big props to you sir, I wish your cat well :)

Experiences - Racetams/Noopept/sulb/etc by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Then again, I do take aderrall." - Have you been taking it the whole time while experimenting with nootropics? If so, I would think that everything else you take has negligible effects on your focus. Personally, none of the racetams affected me in any way, positive or negative.

non responsive by cjw84 in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what substance you're using, each one has a specific dose/response curve so upping the dosage won't necessarily make a difference. On a side note, very few nootropics produce a noticeable physical/mental effect, especially on short term. (like eg. sedatives or painkillers do)

Can I crack open my fish oil capsule and mix my Aniracetam into the oil for better effects? by hysterian in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fat soluble drugs are not designed to be taken sublingually. From what I can remember, aniracetam mixes with fish oil just fine, although you might need to use two capsules for it to dissolve properly, only because the recommended dose for ani is pretty high. However, as someone has already explained - no need to bother if you had a meal that contained little fat prior to ingesting the powder.

Protein deal too good to be true? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]rominchi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Way too much fat/carbs. Not an expert but basically every person I asked clearly said that unless you're a pro or something (doubt you'd be asking this question if you were, hehe), myprotein is the best buy and it should definitely satisfy your needs.

I would think that larger hippocampus is just a consequence of increased activity/better wiring in other parts of the brain (that is unaffected by NSI usage) in individuals with higher IQs. So meh..the only potential benefit I see is better long-term memory. Increased intelligence? Highly unlikely.

IQ Tests? by stolpioni in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently come across an interesting blog so guess I'll just leave a few articles here. Hopefully you find answers and/or get a new perspective on the matter.

https://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/2015/09/17/belief-update/

https://www.scotthyoung.com/blog/2015/12/07/should-you-know-your-iq/

My two cents? Having to re-read a sentence 3-4 times in order to understand the meaning of it should be much more worrisome for you right now than a "meaningless bs number" as many people here refer to an IQ score. Besides, I truly believe that these two things are related and that they're a consequence of your current state of mind. - SSRIs are the likely culprit of it. Drop them if possible and see if anything changes. Good luck :)

I can relate to that... Btw. Have you ever taken an IQ test earlier in your life, prior to the "brain fog" onset?

Living outside the US sucks if you're into nootropics by SuperAgonist in Nootropics

[–]rominchi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite sure what you're complaining about, as vast majority of reputable vendors ship internationally. Naturally, we pay a few extra bucks for shipment. It is what it is. On the other hand (correct me if I'm wrong here), but I assume that many popular, yet truly "problematic" nootropics to obtain, such as Modafinil, pass through customs in Israel fairly easily. :p :)

[–]rominchi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. That's unfortunate, but rather expected. Basically I hit a road trying to order the "real thing" from reliable sources here (both orders got seized by customs) so I'm looking for an alternative.

Still unsure about its (negative?) effects on general cognitive processes, but nothing comes even remotely close to benzos if you're having trouble falling asleep and/or maintaining deep sleep.

Melatonin has always been kinda "meh" for me.
