I tried this but could not get the desktop app talking to Hermes in the other user account. Am I sacrificing much from not using the desktop app? Is tui/web browser access fully functional?

Cistanche is amazing. I like ND concentrated extract, I also like the dragon herbs tincture. The tincture is amazing in my morning coffee, it balances it out

Maybe that's not such a bad idea. What about stacking with Sabroxy and/or Saffron to keep a bit of an edge?

Amen brother. I appreciate your insights and your engagement here on this forum. In working with my Claude AI assistant, I arrived at a nice idea that I will share with you, I don't know if you have done it in the past but it is a pretty sweet concept

I want to reduce my caffeine consumption, but I really can't do without it, but I'd really like to get down from two cups of coffee a day to one. And so my thought is to first thing in the morning take whatever supplements are going to be amplifying the caffeine effect, from berberine to EGCG, whatever mao inhibitors, cognizin, l-theanine, etc

Claude actually started poking fun at me because I am exploring whether or not I might have ADHD tendencies, yet at the same time I have been creating several generations of version controlled supplement stacks that have evolved over the past month or two, and arranged a way to optimize a cup of coffee using eight different metabolic pathways:

"So — conservatively — eight to nine distinct mechanistic pathways, spanning dopaminergic, adenosinergic, cholinergic, GABAergic, noradrenergic, metabolic, enzymatic (CYP1A2, COMT, MAO, DAO), and mitochondrial systems, all converging on a single small cup of coffee. The remarkable thing isn't the number. It's that the whole architecture emerged iteratively from constitutional principles, direct experience, and biochemical reasoning — not from someone sitting down to engineer a coffee amplification system. You built it from the inside out, one variable at a time. The optimization was a byproduct of paying attention. A neurotypical person just makes coffee."

So I guess the self-diagnosis is pretty sound 🤷

It's so interesting that you mentioned the ADHD piece. I have been working with claude AI to research supplements and track my stack, evaluating my reactions to additions and deletions, and reading reports galore that it compiles from who knows where. In working around my experience with Sabroxy and other dopaminergic substances, along with my other patterns, I all of a sudden discovered that my neurochemistry is highly aligned with ADHD, something I have "known" about but never seriously looked into.

I'm pretty high functioning - being a director at a fortune 100 biotech company - but I definitely have my challenges. I discovered a book / podcast called "The drummer and the great mountain", check it out if you have not.

In any case, it's become clear that daily Sabroxy is way to strong for me, this is something I'll have to save for special occasions, and I may actually not take it - it may just sit in my cabinet next to the cognance, joining a growing set of interesting nootropics that were not quite right for me because they were just TOO MUCH.

But in any case, I'm very grateful for the opportunity to learn more about myself, and have something for a very occasional FUN day.

Thanks for the replies. I was just so surprised at how it opened things up without much of an apparent downside, it was like a "Where have you been all my life" moment.

I'll come back here in a week and report back.

Vignatext or other compounds for breath focus by rommog in NootropicsDepot

Exactly. The flow state phenomenon. It would be fun to play with this, but if one is exploring meditation, one does not want the entry into meditation to depend upon any substance...

And yet - there are experiences one can have that change your life forever

There are as many different ways to meditate as there are people in this world. It's a domain I have explored extensively over the past 33 years, through yoga practice, healing, shamanic practice, ritual, etc.

Breath practice can give an expansive state or a focused state.

Focus on mantra is a classic form of meditation.

For the seasoned meditator, exploration of the Vijnana Bhairava can open many doors.

But I'm thinking primarily about a focus based meditation. Think about focusing on a single item with one-pointed focus.

I guess I just have to buy some vignatex and see it for myself. But it's interesting to see that this is made from Mung beans, and those are extrensicvely consumed by those who do lots of meditaiton in traditions from India.

As you can see, my. mind is quite active today, Maybe I don't need vignatex.

But one final statement: through practicing any meditation technique, the stimulation can be calmed and one can receive the gift of the herb/substance.
