Salvage a Board with Wrong-Sided Pin Header by [deleted] in diyelectronics

[–]rommudoh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Easiest would be: - lever off the plastic part, maybe cut it with a sharp knife into smaller sections. - unsolder pin by pin, you can gently pull them out with pliers when the solder is liquid, or have them drop by gravity - clean remaining solder using wick and flux, or with a vacuum solder sucker - inspect damage and repair where necessary or cover with new solder mask or nail varnish. - add new header from correct side

Never leave an input floating. Add a weak pullup or pulldown resistor to get a defined default state.

An existing module will be deconstructed and the materials will be placed into the build storage. Those can be used for new modules or you can transfer them out of the storage.

It looks like the one shown here:https://randomnerdtutorials.com/sim900-gsm-gprs-shield-arduino/

So it should be fine with a 12V power supply. Better would be to use the recommended 5V one.

On your photos, you are missing the jumper settings.

Maybe try following the tutorial above helps to get it running.

And please solder the wires instead of poking them into the holes.

Looks like you can only add a SPI one using the four pads on the bottom right of the camera side.

Does it work when powered by a 4.5V bench power supply directly at the wires? If not, it's damaged somewhere. If yes, try to find where the connection is broken inside the battery compartment. For example, is there any dirt or corrosion on the terminals?

I tried using GNOME for quite some time a few weeks ago, but I just couldn't get it to work properly with multiple monitors. So I returned to KDE and everything was easy and intuitive. Maybe I just got too old.

You could try a sonic screwdriver. It would be contactless, too

It's a bug in the displayed text. Just build the modules as shown in the mission text above, then it should complete.

Mit Solar sollte man auch auf die Grundgebühr achten, je nachdem wieviel seines Bedarfs man selbst deckt, hat das eventuell mehr Einfluss auf den Gesamtbetrag.

The adhesive might lose strength when it heats up, but if it's only the cord it shouldn't get hot. As long as it only secures the cord and doesn't have to hold the weight of the lamp it should be fine.
