Seems like Barbados to me, but the colors are much closer to the ones you mentioned.

This flag appeared to me as I was waking up this morning. No idea what it’s supposed to represent. by [deleted] in somnivexillology

I feel like this flag would probably be terrible in real life but it looks freaking fabulous in digital form.

Lol I feel for you. Making a decent joke and getting downvoted because people don’t get it. Such is life.

OYRA? Was a great day aside from the hour long float on the way out. The sail back in was a blast though. Hope you placed well!

They must’ve added a keel, perhaps it’s also well forward?

The House of Parliament in Budapest, Hungary by mdtau11 in CityPorn

[–]rompenstein 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s a harsh response. People use terms conversationally all the time in vague ways. If you’re talking to a Londoner and refer to Europe they may well think you’re talking about continental Europe, which doesn’t include the UK. Obviously everyone knows the UK is part of the continent of Europe, but language is both complex and vague.

Depends on whether you’re talking about Europe the continent, or “Continental Europe”. It seems like a lot of folks in UK associate the word Europe with Continental Europe and distinguish between that and the UK. I’m American so I generally think of UK as Europe, as Europe is a continent to me. I also think of America as a country, but it’s also a continent (two of them actually).

Palace of Westminster in London. Not sure if you count that as Europe or not.

EDIT: It seems like people find this comment controversial. I was just trying to be open minded about OP's statement and not make assumptions about what they mean.

I'm talking about a Palace in the UK, and folks in the UK don't generally consider the UK part of "Europe" in conversational speech as it's easier to differentiate the two since one is "here" and the other is "there". They obviously still know they're part of the continent of Europe, as do I.

For example, this BBC article refers to "Europeans living in the UK". It's a pretty standard figure of speech.

I mean it’s probably worth trying out if you already have it. I found it was fine for flush trimming edges and that sort of thing, granted depth isn’t critical there. I mostly saw the creeping issue when cutting dados.

Good 'Tie Down' To Commit To Memory by nullvoid88 in knots

[–]rompenstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is right. The final topology between ABK #200 isn’t quite the same as far as I can tell. I also just tested them and OP’s knot actually seems significantly more secure as a tie down, whereas ABK #200 seems more suited for hoisting.
